Absolutely loved my time in Hitching! Michelle and the family have a wonderful warm home and ruby and rafa were a dream. Everyone made a big effort to make me feel welcome and supported throughout my stay. The dogs were full of love and really well behaved. Access to a local park seconds away or heaps of beautiful interesting places to go for a walk. Lots of great restaurants and shopping spots in the town centre. The house and garden are 5* Thank you guys for making my trip so relaxed and enjoyable (p.s sorry on the delay with the review 😅) Send my hugs to the girls!
This was one of our favourite pet sits. We absolutely loved staying with Monty in Pinner. Monty is a sweet, gentle and ball obsessed golden retriever who also loves to snuggle with you by the TV. We loved taking him to his favourite place - the tennis courts for a play session everyday. Frankie and Nigel were super welcoming and friendly from the get go. They were easy to communicate with through out our stay and we felt at home staying at their place. Pinner is such a lovely area with lots of green spaces and friendly locals who all knew Monty! We are going to miss Monty pouncing on balls and greeting us in the morning with his happy tippy taps and swishing tail. We would 100% recommend this pet sit to anyone. Denise and Kris were wonderful people to dog sit for. We had a video chat before confirming and I visited them before the sit. Denise is kind, fun and hospitable and told me everything I needed to know about the dogs and the area + walked me and Benny to their local dog friendly park. On the first day I arrived before they left and they had their lovely cleaner (Mima) clean the house during my stay which was a very kind and generous consideration :) The dogs: Benny becomes your best friend immediately especially if you offer food and cuddles! Kika is a very sweet and tame dog and takes a day or two to warm to strangers and she's scared of loud noises and sudden movements (very normal for an ex-street dog). When she's feeling safe she is a gentle, quiet calm girl who likes to rest on her beds when she's home and run wild and free when she's in a park. She goes to school three days a week and comes home happy, tired and a little dirty (she is easy to shower). I absolutely loved spending time with their dogs! I had a lot of fun training them in and outside of the house. We even taught Benny to shake. We really felt for how nervous Kika was outside so did some companion training with her so she'd learn to respond to commands better while outdoors. I also fed them in the garden and did training outside so she'd get used to eating, getting treats and receiving positive experiences while hearing traffic & other loud noises. During walks we used slip-leashes to teach them to heel / not pull and intentionally walked slowly and calmly to ease Kika, giving her lots of positive feedback and treats when she seemed distressed ("good walk Kika" + food). I was so proud of how brave she is and how much she bagan go trust us & feel a little calmer around traffic. Denise was happy to receive regular videos and updates of them and was very good at communicating despite the time difference. They also took advantage of my professional organising skills during my stay and I had a lot of fun doing their Kitchen and some other spaces. Thank you :) Their area is full of parks and walks that are great to explore with the dogs. One day we all walked around for over 3 hours through parks and they both loved it! Benny can be taken on transport and to restaurants. His dog-grandma (Jenny) took him for a night too which he loved. Denise and Kris' home is beautiful, tidy and very comfortable. Steve lives in a beautiful, quiet area of Wisconsin and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at his home while they traveled overseas. Their pets are very laid back and easy to care for. All lovable and content to be around you. Steve has a beautiful home that has an amazing view of the backyard. I felt like I was living in a first class tree house as you viewed the trees from the big window from the living room. Nice and serene for a writer. I would highly recommend this house/pet sit to any one wanting a nice quiet and relaxing stay. Steve was excellent at staying in touch while traveling to make sure everything was going smoothly and willing to assist anytime I had questions.
We were absolutely stoked to be sitting in Langley, and even more so because of Westley's temperament. he's literally the sweetest, well trained dog I think we've had the privilege of watching. the home is beautiful in a stunning location and everyone is really nice in the neighborhood. Karen was fantastic and had amazing communication throughout the whole process, with recommendations and an amazing energy. we would highly recommend taking the opportunity to watch her space it's truly majestic and we hope we can see Westley again!!!
Zoe and Lexie were a joy to care for. The neighborhood is just great for walking Zoe, with wide walks shaded by beautiful trees. The home was also a joy to spend time in, with comfy beds, nice kitchen and living areas, and a delightful outdoor pool area. Suzanne was very well prepared and easy to communicate with. She made the house/pet sit worry free! And, of course, Palm Harbor is a beautiful location for great seafood restaurants, biking, and nearby beaches. We'd be very happy to return someday and would highly recommend this sit.
