I had a lovely time sitting for Mango, Oscar and Olive. Mango is a well behaved boy who whilst energetic out of the house, can relax and just be with you when in it. Oscar is the most affectionate cat I've ever met and Olive is sweet, but more independent. The house is on a quiet lane but minutes from both an M&S and a large Tesco with the train station just 15 mins walk, so great if like me you are using public transport. There are great walks just 15 -20 mins from the doorstep and Mango and I had great fun exploring every bit of them! Annie & Steve are great hosts, their home is very comfortable with all mod cons and I would highly recommend sitting for them.
We have had a superb time housesitting for Cathy and John. They were so welcoming and friendly - the perfect hosts. The chooks were an absolute joy to take care of, we loved watching them go about their day in the garden, lots of fun seeing their personalities! Fresh eggs daily too - each day the excitement of how many there were. It’s the first time we have looked after hens but they were really easy to take care of, Cathy’s guidance was great. Charlie the cat was adorable just like his photos. He would come let you know when he was hungry, spent most of his time in his bed but always came for cheek rubs and to sit on your lap when he felt like it. The house is gorgeous, such a lovely place to be and a short drive from anything you could need - supermarket/petrol etc. We will honestly miss seeing Charlie and the Chooks each day - that’s the hardest part of housesitting! We highly recommend this sit.
I had a perfect little short-but-sweet stay at Alex's very cool warehouse apartment recently. It was great to briefly meet Alex, Kitty and family before they left and clear instructions were given, along with the comprehensive Welcome Guide. Mia is a sweet dear cat who was gentle in her behaviour and totally relaxed from the first meeting. Although the flat is mostly open-plan, she did not disturb sleep during the night and then came up for a morning cuddle once I was up - very considerate! By the end she was sitting on my lap and being very affectionate and cuddly which was delightful! She required some medicine with a pipette but there were no issues with administering it as she clearly liked it. Lots of cool things going on in this part of Hackney these days and the flat is not far from Cambridge Heath and Hoxton Overgrounds, a short bus ride to Old St tube, and various street markets and parks within walking distance so urbanites won't be short of things to do round there, if required. Everything ran very smoothly with the house and with the sit overall, so I'm very happy to recommend and sit with Mia again if our travel dates coincide in the future. Frigo is such an inquisitive cutie pie! He knows what he wants when he wants and is such a joy to be around. Mr. Frigo is an easygoing dog who absolutely loves his walks. Molly & Family were great to communicate with and have a comfortable home. The neighborhood was a short walk to public transportation, shops, restaurants, and other services. Frigo and I enjoyed our walks in the area. I'd definitely hang out with Frigo again.
Rachel and Nick warmly welcomed us to their lovely home and we spent a very convivial evening with them before they left the following morning. Their home is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Tarn countryside. Foxley is no trouble at all - a quite shy, independent cat who wanders in and out as he pleases. All in all a very enjoyable sit.
