10/10 would recommend. Steve and Andy are so easygoing, kind, and likable. Right off the bat, they were extremely helpful in accommodating us. Because of the train strikes, we were having trouble getting to Epsom. They instantly offered to pick us up from Central London. When we got there, we were treated to dinner. The job itself was amazing. All tasks were explained beforehand so that we felt 100% comfortable. The two dogs, Mabel and Lily are just the sweetest, cuddliest girls ever. They are both very well behaved (with the exception of Lily, who is a bit stubborn on walks.) Our routine with them was simple: feed them at 7am, go back to bed and cuddle (optional, but recommended), play a few times a day outside, feed them dinner at 3pm, walk them at sunset, cuddle on the couch, then tuck them in for bed. Be sure to give them each a few smooches, too. Simple as that! Mabel and Lily are great with each other, other dogs, and the hens, who are quite characters. Felicia, Bernadette, and Mitzi are the silkies. They are very easy to take care of and so fun to watch. You just feed them and let them out a few times a day and either put them in their grass pen or let them roam free if you are also outside (there is a neighborhood fox that you need to watch out for.) Those 3 girls are so funny. Felecia is fast! Lastly, some notes on the accommodation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of. We were extremely comfortable during our stay and enjoyed walking to the local shops and parks. The garden is beautiful as well. This is a gardener's heaven! Not that it's a deal-breaker, but the house is also very well decorated ;) Steve, Andy, and their 5 girls are amazing. I feel like we made lifelong friends and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. We miss the girls so much and hope to be back one day. Thank you for everything!
We recently pet sat for this couple and their amazing smart dog Unity in Port Alice BC. Unity is one of the smartest and most loveable dogs we have ever looked after. The village of Port Alice is a very clean town, with lovely areas to walk the dogs, an ol' ball diamond to play ball in, and the folks in the community are all so friendly. Tina and Chris were so easy to chat with, and before long we were friends. If Unity ever needs care again, we will be the first to sign up for another round of ball or fetch the stick.
Ripple was our first encounter with an adventure cat and what a pleasure it was! He’s a smart energetic little guy who is not shy about letting you know what he wants. It’s super cute when does “Grizzly” to get his treats! He likes to play tag and beat the daylights out of Mr. Goat and his other favourite toys. One of the best things was taking him out for walks, either on leash or in his backpack, to explore his neighbourhood and seeing which objects and smells would capture his attention. Kristy and Adam are really easy going and provided excellent instructions about everything we needed to do during our stay. It was a short, but fun, time with Mr. Ripple and we would be happy to hang out with him anytime.
Awesome! Everything about sitting for Joanna was positive. Rufus is well behaved and energetic. Colin can be grouchy but just needs a bit of attention to be happy. Plus the house and garden are lovely. I would definitely do it again...
Sitting for Bayliss was a delight! Vira’s home was lovely and clean and everything I needed to care for her kitty was ready and clearly communicated. Vira was always available for questions and made the stay smooth and easy.
