Ooooh what to say about this special sit. 🥰 I have so many treasured memories from my time in Basel. Gail was so so helpful, friendly and communicative. She even let me stay over a day early to help with transit and settling in with the kitties. We had great chats (and pizza!). She left the best instructions and tips for travel in the area. The two girls, Filou and Henry, were so lovely and such special little characters. I loved spending my mornings and evenings playing with them or just watching them snoozing in the sun. 😻 Basel is such a lovely place - everyone is so friendly, it’s super safe, there are heaps of museums, and it is so lovely to just walk up and down the river. If you get there in summer - definitely do the float with the wickelfisch bag! I also got in a day trip to Interlaken and some other little towns - but there are plenty more day trips you could do easily as Basel is so well connected. Can’t recommend this sit highly enough. Amy and Steve were excellent hosts, very generous and gracious. Thy provided us with clear and concise notes for the care of the cats and the running of their house in advance of the sit and also ran through everything with us prior to their departure. The house is spacious and comfortable, set in quiet lane but only a few hundred metres from the large village shop, pub, bus stop (with a frequent service to Guildford and villages in the surrey hills in the other direction) and the 'Forge' which is a lovely cafe which serves great lunches, or just a coffee and home-made cake, if you prefer. The garden is beautiful, although due to the unsettled weather, we didn't make full use of it. We did manage a few walks along the various public footpaths around the village. We highly recommend this sit and we hope to return in the future with some better weather. Many thanks to Amy and Steve.
This woman has lots of issues. She is disrespectful and disgusting. She doesn’t clean up after herself and she uses people to take care of her house because she doesn’t want to. She will blame you for not explaining her expectations. This is the worst kind of person to be housesitting for.
Pleasure looking after Wizard & Panther, no trouble at all and everything was well explained. Sarah was very hospitable and great communication throughout the stay.
This was a truly lovely housesitting experience. Everything was carefully planned and organised in terms of caring for the 3 beautiful cats - each with their own special personalities. The house was beautiful and Celi made you feel really at home.
