I had a wonderful time housesitting for Maureen and Martin! From my first visit, everything was shown and explained to me in careful detail as well as typed up in a house guide and a cats guide. I was made to feel very welcome in the home and Maureen and Martin are exceptionally friendly and always responded promptly to any questions I had during the stay. I stayed in a lovely, sunny guest room with a clean and new bathroom next door. The cats are both very sweet, affectionate, and playful! Ellie loved being groomed and Mishka loves to climb all over you if you are seated or lying down. They are easy to care for and very easy to fall in love with! It was difficult to say goodbye. I would certainly house sit for Maureen and Martin again in future.
Scottie is certainly master of her domain, but such a gracious and companionable one! She loves doing anything and everything with you... walking, hanging out in the yard or on the beach, or relaxing by the fire. The cottage is very comfortable, with amazing views from all angles! The kayaking was amazing, and a perfect way to explore the area. Greer and Kyle were lovely and so accommodating. I look forward to seeing them and Scottie again!
Staying at Eleanor’s charming French home and caring for her two “big boy” cats was a wonderful experience! Situated in the charming town of Saint Jean d’Angley I spent most of my time simply enjoying the peaceful retreat she has created that is her home. The outlook into the garden from a sunny conservatory is relaxing and inspiring! I was welcomed warmly by Eleanor , who made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay including a delicious home cooked dinner. I very much enjoyed good conversation! Of course the stars of the visit are Stevie and Uhi! I could spend all day admiring their oversized padding about paws and lion like presence. Uhi is the cheekier of the two and they both made for wonderful company. Altogether a very positive experience! And as a side bonus for me personally was discovering Eleanor’s home sits directly on the Compostela pilgrimage trail so I was able to put some decent kms in on my departure. I very much look forward to coming back, can’t wait to see the addition of beautiful chicken friends too! 💗
Dominic and Mariana’s home was delightful! And the fresh garden greens were an additional treat. Truffle is a well behaved sweetheart. We would definitely sit again.
Rory’s home is beautiful and welcoming! Open and airy with lots of light. Beautiful gourmet kitchen and backyard area with hot tub. The home was clean, organized and easy to navigate. A short, relaxing stroll leads you to the village of Capitola where you will find a wonderful beach with locally owned restaurants, and shops. Communicating with Rory was super easy. We had done a walk-through on the phone prior to the visit and I felt confident knowing the layout of the home and how to take care of the pups! Also the welcome guide provided is very informative. Bosco and Scout were so much fun! This was my first time meeting a “Frenchie”. What a delight! They are both so sweet and very well trained. They got along extremely well and kept me laughing at their playfulness throughout the visit. I fell in love and will miss them both! I had the option of walking Bosco and Scout together or separately. I opted to go the separate route. Neither of the dogs pulled and were very well-behaved on our early morning walks. We walked several different routes in the neighborhood, enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that grow in this magical coastal town. Highly recommended sit. Thank you Rory and family!
Thank you so much for letting me help with your house sit. Raquel welcomed me warmly and gave me a tour before her travel and she prepared a paper manual as well as explaining everything verbally. She is generous, kind, thoughtful and communicates well. The cats: Santana is a good sis for Davina. Santana likes to play but she let Davina play even Santana when playing with strings or toy. Stella is a really cute cat and I love how she shows her expectation through her lovely eyes. Davina is a sweet cat, friendly and playful. She always followed me and gave me massages by walking on my back every night. I really had a lot of wonderful and fun time with these sweet kitties. Raquel’s house is gorgeous! Also, clean and cozy. The neighborhood is great. A lot of coffee shops and restaurants and grocery shops are nearby. I enjoyed coffee shop hopping during her sit. Again, thank you so much for having me.
