I had a really lovely time looking after Jodphur in Limehouse. Andy and Ian were quick to arrange a call and confirm the sit, they were considerate of my journeys in agreeing arrival and departure times. They provided a very comprehensive welcome guide, I really appreciate knowing I have all the information I may need for any eventuality in advance and to hand. They kindly hosted me the night before their departure in the spare room and then put new sheets on in the master bedroom for me before leaving despite it being very early in the morning! Andy also cooked an amazing dinner for us, thank you! Their home was very clean and tidy. Jodhpur is a really interesting character. She is very bossy and has the most intimidating meow I have heard so far. But she is so fluffy, adorable, and affectionate (on her own terms) that it's impossible to be upset by the tellings off. I was mostly told off for moving when I was being used as a cushion or stopping brushing, or trying to brush out her tangles instead of just brushing her head. She made me laugh a lot. I would be very happy to sit for Andy, Ian and Jodphur again.
Smokey is the best cat ever. He’s super sweet, well behaved and a breeze to care for. He loves his treats and his cuddles. You’ll enjoy spoiling him. Cary is a beautiful city and the city bus for Cary is fare free until June of next year. It’s an easy way to get around and view the city!
Skip was a great host who was very helpful + hospitable, and the house was left cozy + clean. All the instructions were clear + easy to follow, and the dogs were well behaved + so sweet. They are so fun to play fetch in the park with.
Nala was such a friendly and easy cat to sit! She welcomed me in with prompt requests for pets. Janie & Bruno were super easy to communicate with their place is lovely. Their home is in a great location near plenty of hikes and beaches. Nala would hang out on my lap in the evening or her heated bed. I’d definitely recommend this sit and come back any time!

Jorge was an excellent host. Zody and Azalea were such sweet animals. I enjoyed every minute with them. Loved the super close dog park! The location is central and everything in SF and the apartment had all the amenities needed for a great stay! Hope to stay again sometime!

Alexis took amazing care of our 8yo lab and 8 month old bernedoodle while we were out of town. She sent us lots of updates and pics which we really appreciated when we were missing our fur babies. Alexis, owner of The Fur Babe, is simply amazing! We had planned a weeklong vacation and it was going to be the very first time we weren't able to take our 3 puppy girls with us. We were a bit anxious, of course, and were looking for just the right fit for our dogs to be comfortable and well taken care of while we were gone. Alexis stayed overnight with our girls for a week, was extremely communicative which was much appreciated, and gave us the perfect peace of mind for us to enjoy a bit of time away! We, and our girls, give her 3 thumbs (paws) up!!!
Emma was fantastic with my two dogs (one very large German Shepherd and one medium sized mixed breed)! She stayed overnight with them in my home for a week. They were well looked after, she was very communicative and sent lots of pictures, and the house was spotless when we got back home. I highly recommend The Fur Babe and especially Emma!
Alexis is the best! We went on our wedding and our Milky had the best time with his new Auntie. This weekend was our first time using the services from the Fur Babe. After a very bad kennel experience in the summer, we were very nervous to have another “traditional” boarding experience. Until we met Alexis from the Fur Babe - all our fears disappeared. She is SO kind, patience, and nurturing towards animals and has wonderful communication! I knew my pup would be in great hands but to actually see his happiness from photos/videos was such a joy! We already have several weekends reserved into the new year- her services our truly the best!
Alexis is awesome!! Cricket stayed with her for a week this past month and when we came back it was so obvious cricket was so wonderfully taken care of. Alexis sent updates throughout the stay so we knew how she was doing. Cricket is already looking forward to next time!

Brandy absolutely loves doggy daycare here. Staff is very friendly and they have fun activities for the dogs each day. They have great hours too for drop off and pick up (6:30am-7:20pm) which works great for me. My schedule varies from day to day so it is great that they are so flexible.
We love Playful Pack in Leesburg! They were extremely patient and understanding with my shy puppy, Otto, and gave him the time he needed to get comfortable and acquainted. We also adore the report cards and photos that get sent out daily. The staff is so friendly and helpful and Otto loves them as well! Overall, we are so happy to have found this place.
I recently had another great experience at Playful Pack, this time at their Leesburg Virginia location. I boarded my two dogs, Wendy, a 60 lbs Bernadoodle, and Tinkerbell, a 5 lbs Yorkie, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The staff at Playful Pack is incredibly attentive and friendly. They made sure to take the time to get to know my dogs and their individual needs. It was evident that they genuinely cared about their well-being and provided a safe and comfortable environment for them. One thing that impressed me was their flexibility when I had to change my travel plans due to a flight delay. They were understanding and accommodating, making the whole process stress-free for me. I really appreciated their willingness to work with me during a time-sensitive situation. One of the highlights of boarding my dogs at Playful Pack is receiving daily picture updates via email. It was such a joy to see my furry companions enjoying their time and interacting with the staff and other dogs. These updates helped put my mind at ease, knowing that my dogs were in good hands and having a great time. The location of Playful Pack is easy to get to, and it's conveniently situated. This was particularly important to me as I needed a daycare and boarding facility that was easily accessible. It made dropping off and picking up my dogs a breeze, saving me valuable time and effort. Furthermore, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the facility was. It had a brand new feel to it, and everything was kept in pristine condition. My two dogs enjoyed their vacation at Playful Pack while we went to the beach. We loved how we could check it often to see them live throughout the day. The staff are very enthusiastic animal lovers so I knew my babies were in good hands. Cost was lower than most Rover sitters or other kennels so that was a plus. I also like to to take them for day care one in awhile as a treat and socialization.
*Wow looks like they are removing reviews! Posted this a couple weeks ago and saw that it disappeared recently. We use to love coming to Playful Pack. The service has gotten horrendous recently. It’s a 15-20 minute wait every time to pick up or drop off my dog. This specifically happens when Riley is working at the front in the mornings. The staff is usually very kind and great to my dog but customer service has really gone down. I have contacted management about this a month prior and nothing has really changed.
We love Playful Pack in Leesburg! My goldendoodle is a frequent “student” for daycare and boarding. I have told my friends and family members how much we love Playful Pack because of their great care for dogs, daily report cards, webcams, and outdoor space. We have been using playful pack for over 6 months now. Both boarding for a week+ and daycare here and there. I have never met people who are as in love with our dogs as we are. They are always welcoming and kind. The Camera to watch them online is such a fun addition. I also love getting the report cards at the end of each day with TONS of photos of the dogs throughout the day. The options for free daily walks and $25 daycare baths is incredible. Seriously so thankful I have found such a wonderful and dependable place for our dogs to go when needed!
Couldn't ask for a better place for our pup to socialize and burn off his infinite store of energy. The staff clearly loves all the dogs, they've helped our dog learn how to play well with others and he gets so excited when we get in the car to go to daycare! The daily pictures are adorable and he loves the activities they arrange. Could not recommend them more.
Love boarding our dog here and he is always excited to go. I love that they have webcams so we can check-in on him when away, and there are enrichment activities everyday that make me feel like my dog isn't just sitting around. I also appreciate that there is an outdoor play area that they go out to at least 2x a day. Finally, the staff are very nice and always greet my dog when we come in, which feels like a personal touch.
Playful Pack has been a wonderful experience for our dog. She comes home after daycare completely exhausted and loves going to daycare each morning. We’ve noticed a boost in her confidence, especially with experiences that might be scary, such as climbing under or on ramps. We’ve also noticed her ability to “tell” other dogs when playing has improved - she’s much better at giving and receiving cues from other dogs when play has become too much. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention all of the wonderful staff - our dog loves seeing them when she goes in and they all treat her wonderfully. I’ve also watched my dog on camera and have seen firsthand how the staff interacts with the dogs and you can see they truly do care about each and every dog.
Sasha provided my puppies with the best care. They truly had a blast while staying with Sasha. Prices are fair, and Sasha takes a personal approach to caring for each animal, and treats them like her own. I will definitely hire Sasha again if I am ever in the area and in need of pet care.
Sasha was great! She really eased all of my worries and took great care of my dog. She sent me pictures and videos every single day which would always put a smile on my face seeing my little guy having fun and being cared for. So lucky to have her!

Sasha was excellent with Oslo, he is only 4 months old and has not been away from us for more then a couple hours at a time. Oslo was scared to leave us at first but when it was time for him to come home he wanted to stay and play! At first there was a miscommunication, likely on my end and I was nervous. This was also the first time I gave ever left my dog with someone I hadn’t really known well. However, she assured me my dog was in good hands and was very attentive to my questions and worries. It turned out to be a great experience. I plan to use her again in the future for walking and pet sitting. She left my place clean, followed directions, when running behind communicated with me, and took lots of pictures.

We had the hardest time finding a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter. Rebekah at Happy Hearts N Paws came HIGHLY recommended. After long discussions we decided to give it a shot and have Rebekah come meet our fur baby. We warned her that our dog is highly reactive and we had lots of bad experiences with other sitters. She took the task at hand and ran with it. She was absolutely a miracle worker and dog whisperer! Our dog immediately took to her. She has the best communication with us Rand was there to answer any and all concerns. Rebekah went above and beyond when at our home by making sure our home was clean, mail and packages always brought in, and so much more! Happy Hearts N Paws and Nanke were great with caring for both of our dogs over a weekend. One of our dogs was very apprehensive about a stranger entering our home but Nanke worked with her over several days, so that our dog felt very comfortable by the third visit. We were very hesitant to leave our anxious and nervous, yet very loving Aussie! Because of how I described our dog (Happy), Julia (one of the owners) insisted on taking Happy vs. having someone else in the company do so. From the daily texts and photos and otherwise, I could tell that she and her family cared for Happy as if he were theirs for 7 nights. Having only ever left Happy with family and friends, I am thrilled to have this reliable and loving option when we need it. Grateful for our neighbor who recommended them!

ADDOin Ashburn is perfect for Phoebe! She loves coming here, starts whimpering and getting excited as soon as we turn on Guilford! She doesn’t hesitate or look back as she goes into the playroom! She comes home exhausted and happy!!! And I love the self bath convenience there! She can play all day and get a bath! Great staff, especially Elliot! Always very pleasant, positive!!!

We have had a great experience taking our little midsized pup to Ashburn A Dog's Day Out for daycare every week. The staff is super friendly and professional. Your dog will need to be up to date on vaccinations and pass a behavioral test, so you can endure your pup will be in hood hands. Our pup is always eager to go to daycare and takes a good snooze afterwards! I highly recommend ADDO for daycare!
Miss Lily loves her fun filled Saturdays at DDO Ashburn. She runs up the stairs and is excited to see all of her friends, 2 and 4 legged. DDO Ashburn has been the happy place for 2 of my dogs and the staff rocks! I so appreciate that Lily has fun and I get to vacuum and mow without help. Thank you to the great staff and pup friends

A dogs day out is my doggos second home, he loves it there and the staff love him. They are wonderful and he has the freedom of choosing to relax in the crate like he does at home with an open door which we love!

I have an anxious border collie that used to have to be muzzled for grooming until we met Raini. She has the kindest heart and is so loving and gentle with him. From the very beginning she chose not to muzzle him and just worked with his quirks and has gained his trust. And the icing on the cake is that he looks gorgeous after she grooms him! She’s simply a beautiful person and a talented groomer. We feel so blessed to have found her!!!!
We searched and interviewed several kennels when we moved to this area before finding Old Mill. Even though they are 45 minutes from our home, we now wouldn’t take our girls anywhere else. We travel a lot, and I couldn’t be at peace knowing our dogs were not being well cared for. I never worry, and the staff is always happy to give me an update when I call in to check.
We have been taking our dogs to Old Mill Grooming for well over 10 years. The service is phenomenal and the people who work there are absolutely lovely, warm and kind to human and canine alike. My dogs are so happy to go in and our puppy is so excited to be there. They and are just overjoyed when they see the staff, especially Raini, the most extraordinary groomer. It's a comfort to know they are in a place they love and are safe.
The staff at Old Mill are wonderful! They are sooo fabulous with my dog that is so difficult to work with. Raini, his groomer, is a miracle worker and he just loves her. She is the best groomer we have ever had and that is going back for more than a decade. She bends over backwards to be helpful and always pays attention to what Atticus needs to feel comfortable.
I cannot recommend and praise Old Mill Kennel enough! We have happily been going there for years. Their team is kind, caring, and so very devoted. We recently had our senior dog suffer from a medical emergency wherein she needed immediate care while we were out of town. Thanks to the alert and quick decisions of two amazing team members Jasmine, who was thankfully with her when she fell ill, and Shannon, she was transported to ER care and then surgery in Alexandria. Shannon stayed with her so she was not alone. She kept her safe, loved and cared for as well as transporting her throughout NOVA while Jasmine concerned for our other dogs, cared for them. They saved our girls life AND loved our other two. We are forever grateful to Jasmine, Shannon and the entire Old Mill Kennel team who all worked together to care for our dogs and save our girl!

Old Mill has been our go-to kennel and grooming service for almost a decade. They treat our dogs like family, and we always feel confident knowing the staff takes such great care of Max and Marlee when we travel. Last Sunday, Marlee, our 8-year-old golden retriever, experienced a medical emergency that required her to be taken to Loudoun Urgent Care. The team acted quickly to help her, but unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep. We are heartbroken, but talking with the staff and receiving a text with pictures showing how happy Marlee was until the end reassures us that she didn’t suffer. Thank you for everything you have done over the years and especially this past week – our family truly appreciates it.
Fantastic place for your pets, first class staff and no worries dropping off your dogs. Our 2 dogs have kenneled with them going on 4 years. We have 2 dogs that are getting up there in age and we like the fact that they are attentive and supportive of their needs. Timmy was especially helpful during our last visit, as we had a death in the family and was running late for drop off and they made accommodations to help us.

Mezcap went above and beyond for our dogs the two times we were on vacation, and we will without a doubt be using them in the future and recommending them to everyone we know with pets! What really made them so great, is that they sent us multiple daily updates with pictures and videos of our dogs. This was such a comfort for us to know that our dogs were being loved and played with on top of being fed and walked. Thank you Mezcap for showing our pups the love we couldn’t give while away and keeping them comfortable and very happy! I cannot recommend this company more.

I met these awesome humans through another dog walking service, we exchanged numbers and they became my new permanent dog walker/sitter. They are honestly the best and I can't imagine my life without them. My dog loves them to pieces and I can tell they love him just as equally (they spoil him so much, I love it). They're very kind and work with me through my very busy and ever changing schedule. Wes and Katie always make sure Charlie's needs come first and they're great with communication. If anyone needs reliable, affordable, kind, caring, respectful and thoughtful walkers, Mescap is the way to go.
Wes and Katie took amazing care of our dogs while we were traveling. Our one dog is generally scared of people but was very excited for their visits! I highly recommend and will be using for future trips.
Wes and Katie have been a huge help with our busy schedule! We were very hesitant leaving our nervous boy but they assured us, everything would be fine! They take great care of our corgis that come here. 4/5 stars only because there seems to be a lot of discrepancy between pricing depending on who you talk to about boarding and what is included. We boarded our dogs and requested daycare everyday but when I checked the next day on the cameras they were not in there. Turns out although they said they were adding it they mistakenly did not. While they did apologize I still feel terrible my dogs spent all day in their kennel rather than getting their energy out as we had wanted. Otherwise the rest of the visit was great and our corgis seemed very content when we picked them up.
We have been bringing our dog, Ellie, here for about a year. She seems to be well treated and there are a bunch of add-ons available to her stays that we take advantage of so she can play. The staff is always very nice. They do get busy at the pick up/drop off start times.
I want to write about my experience with Olde Towne’s training packages. First the positive. The new trainer Lauren is wonderful and genuinely cares about training my puppy. She is very communicative and helpful with tips on how to deal with different situations. We had signed a package of 10 day training sessions and 3 private sessions and she took over when we were about halfway through the package, and the difference between her approach and the previous was immediately obvious. Now the negative. I would highly recommend asking questions about the training packages because what they do not tell you upfront is that when you sign up for a half hour day training ssssion, you also have to do day boarding at $40. So you end up having your dog there for about 4 hours each time. This may work for some people but not for me – I drive half an hour there and have to hang around for 4 hours when all I wanted was a half hour session for my puppy to train. I would not have signed up with them if I had known this was their company policy; they never told me this when I signed up. I don’t care to go into the details of my very unpleasant experience trying to resolve this with the front office staff – it was clear they were not interested in coming up with a reasonable solution to my problem and instead took a very monetary approach that totally disregarded what was best for my dog. I don’t suppose they care that they have lost a customer that they would otherwise have had despite the distance and time involved for me. But I question the approach of this company – that they care less about the animals and owners and more about keeping to their “company policy” tells me that I’m better off taking my dog somewhere else. I would give Lauren 5 stars but Olde Towne gets one star.
I boarded my puppy in one of their LUXURY SUITES with a window, tv, and webcam for one night at $125. I brought her portioned and labeled kibbles, treats and a chewy stick. This is what happened: 4:24am - I started watching the webcam while away on a trip. 4:51am - Someone refilled her food bowl and left. 6:17am - She was taken out - potty break?! 6:23am - Someone cleaned the room, changed water bowl and TOOK HER FOOD BOWL AWAY. 6:26am - She was brought back in. But what about her food? So I kept watching….. 9:01am - She was taken out 9:17am - She was returned. 9:30am - I called and left a msg to question why her food was taken away. 9:55am - Someone came in to check on her for 5 seconds and left. Still no food. 10:09am - Nina called back to say it’s their “Food Safety Policy” to pick up the bowl after a while. They left her bowl overnight, as seen on webcam, so why the sudden policy? 10:17am - At my request, she was given her chewy stick. 10:21am - A text was sent, voicing my complaint that THEY DO NOT SPEND ANY TIME ON LOVE AND AFFECTION. 12:45pm - Someone literally threw a treat (I provided) in the middle of the room and left. I WATCHED FOR THE NEXT FIVE HOURS ON WEBCAM. My puppy did not get another potty break since 9:17am until she was picked up by my friend at 5:30pm. I spoke to the Executive Director, Devin, the next day. He said “sometimes oversights can happen” and their staff “logged in” to say she was given another potty break. I HAVE SNAPSHOTS AND RECORDINGS OF WEBCAM WITH TIME STAMP of when their staff entered and exited the room. When I finally asked him “what exactly did I pay $125 for?” He said “someone is on site 24-7 and they also have a generator in case of power outages.” Really? Aren’t those required to run a business that board people’s precious pets? I have volunteered for shelters and rescue groups that take far better care of dogs. Over 8 hours without a potty break is inexcusable negligence. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN and I recommend people to diligently check on their pets on webcam if they still choose to board their pets there.
Their new trainer is incredible! My dog is reactive with other dogs and rather than generalizing her board and train program, she worked her with other dogs constantly. Lauren also advocated for my dog and I, going above and beyond time and time again. She is a great and frequent communicator. The only reason I go 4 stars is because olde town is very fancy but not super organized. I had mediocre service at the front desk and over the phone. I'm excited to see how my dog develops as I bring her home but I am feeling very optimistic that her work there will be life changing for both of us! So much gratitude!!!
Olde Towne has been a wonderful choice for my kitty when I travel! I first brought her there as a kitten and have continued even though I probably could leave her at home and have someone stop by most of the times I'm gone. They take great care of her, send me pictures, snuggle and play with her, and make me feel totally comfortable while my fur baby is in their hands. My cat has a...large personality...and the staff there never seem to mind that she can be a bit feisty. I highly recommend them!
I started coming here after I has suspicion my dog wasn't being taken care of like he should have at his previous day boarding facility. Every day I pick my dog up they tell me how he did and what time his potty breaks were. The staff is very nice and helpful. Scheduling has been made super easy. I love all the services they offer (especially the pool). My dog and I have been coming here for about 2 months now and we absolutely love it!
This location has taken great care of my cat for at least a week once a year for the past 3 years. This year they were also very accommodating when I had to extend my cats stay at the last minute. This is a good, safe place for your cat with solid service.
We took a week-long trip, but could not take our cat with us. Old Towne Pet Resort was not the closest boarding location to our home, but they came highly recommended and their pricing and policies were reasonable. I’m glad we chose them. The cattery was in high demand, so we didn’t get the exact type of unit (with a window and camera) we wanted, but their staff were helpful in suggesting an alternative which actually saved us a little money. They took great care of our cat, sent photos, made sure he played with others, and even organized a nail trimming spa day. The location is easy to access and the space is amazingly large and inviting.
George has been an incredible groomer. I just heard did he left Olde Town, does anyone know if he went to another shop? Does anyone know where he went? 1/21/2023 update: we miss George, but we had Betty groomed out dog and sh did such a great job. See nice picture that Betty took on the grooming table.
I scheduled with Around Midnight Pet Services to take care of our two older kitties while we vacationed. Crystal was fantastic! The initial interview went great - we could tell right away she was a pro and would take great care of our girls. And we were not disappointed. She did everything we asked, including feeding the girls on their trays [don't judge! :-) ] and putting out their treats. She made sure she connected with both of them every day, even though they're both really shy with strangers. When we got home we got a little report card of notes that Crystal left after every visit. It really showed she cared and handled our kitties with great attention to detail. And she was so sweet when she returned our key. We'll never schedule with anyone else again! :-)
Crystal and her team have been caring for our dog for many years and we would not trust anyone else! They are always on time for every visit and care for our dog as if she was their own. They constantly go the extra mile. I highly recommend Crystal and her team!!!

I have trusted the care of my kitties to Around Midnight for years. Crystal and Isabella are both a dream to work with. They are very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. One of my cats is on several medications, and the other has a whole lot of “cattitude” when we’re away, and Crystal takes the best care of them. I have a lot of annoying, special instructions for my fur-babies, and Crystal is so patient and accommodating. My cat’s internal medicine specialist recommended Around Midnight, and it’s such a blessing to know that the person caring for my babies can be fully trusted. I only worked with Isabella once when Crystal was out of town, and she showed the same level of care and professionalism. I highly recommend Around Midnight!
Crystal has watched our dogs in her home multiple times. They are happy and have plenty of walks when there. She has also watched our cats on occasion when our neighbor can not. They require medication 2x per day and its always been administered in a timely fashion. Your pets and house are safe with her
Crystal did a wonderful job of caring for our cats while we were on our honeymoon! She kept us updated on our pets, and even sent pictures of them to us so we wouldn't be so lonesome for them. We'll be calling her up for all our pet-sitting needs in the future!
We have a usual cat sitter but she's had some emergencies and suggested we contact Crystal regarding picking up some of the time we needed. I contacted her, she was very responsive, came and "met" the boys (as best as she could since they are kind of stand-off-ish...cats...go figure :D). She was careful to write down what I feel is a lot of instructions regarding them and I really appreciated her attention to the details I mentioned. We just got back from our trip and there was a great letter/update from her regarding the boys. They are both happy ( as cats can be I guess) and healthy. They apparently decided she was ok as they allowed her to pet them...quite a feat for them to trust everything is going to be ok! I would highly recommend this company as a regular pet sitter (I'd probably switch if we were'nt already in love with our current sitter) and I will be keeping her as a backup sitter if needed. If your babies are your world....this is the company for you!
I can’t say enough about the level of care provided by Crystal and her team of devoted care staff. My cat is old and has multiple health issues and she is always taken care of in the way she needs help. She loves Around Midnight services!!!
