We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them most especially as Tarka was clearly devoted to them by the time we returned. We cannot thank them enough for an extremely successful sit as well as the delicious curry they had prepared for us.
Wow! Nancy and Ray were absolutely fabulous! They are wonderful people who are very caring and thoughtful. Our dog and two cats were so content when we arrived home and the house was in perfect order. We received daily text and photo updates to let us know everything was ok and the pets were happy. The photos they took were amazing! Nancy and Ray are very responsible and cared for our pets and home with the greatest respect. It was a treat to connect with such a sweet and kind couple. Pai Pai got his regular walks around the neighborhood which he looks forward to every day. One of our cats tends to hide when people they are not familiar with are around, but she came out for Nancy and Ray and was very comfortable with them. It was an absolute delight to have Nancy and Ray stay at our house and keep everything running smoothly. We hope that our paths will cross again.
What a FANTASTIC house/pet sitter! Flexible from the very beginning, Toni came in and immediately took care of things while I got ready for a last-minute trip. The animals adored her from the start and she was very loving with them from the get go. I also have a cat who is probably at her last year and Toni took her to the vet a couple times for some shots and was very communicative. She sent photos almost every day and I felt very much still in the loop of things. Toni had agreed to meet and spend some time with the next house sitters because I had to split the sit into two. She informed them of all the particulars and made for a VERY easy changeover. I would be happy to have her sit any time she is available, she was the best!
Engeli was very kind and welcoming, even going so far as to cook us a hot meal when we arrived and stocking up on a few sundries for us beforehand. She made us feel very comfortable and did a great job showing us how everything in her home worked. Oli is such a sweet dog. He immediately befriended us and stuck by our side for the whole sit. He loves his walks and even more so loves his food and was a pleasure to spend time with. He's a loving and generally easy dog to care for. Avandaro and Valle de Bravo, if you've never been, are absolutely beautiful. Lots of forested hiking and waterfalls and hidden vistas and lake activities and fancy dining and all manner of shopping all in short driving distance from the house. The house is super cute, a cozy cabin in the woods. When the sun comes out it is light-filled yet still cool. It feels very secluded and private even though the neighbors are not far at all. We were there in August which is mid-rainy season for the area and did not fully understand just how cold and damp the house would be. I think if we had brought warmer socks and a few more sweaters we might have been very cozy. Luckily there are many people selling firewood on the side of the road this time of year so we were able to keep a fire going in the fireplace to dry out and stay warm. In the dry season I imagine the house is probably a forest dream come true and it's my understanding that Engeli is planning to get a space heater so I think that will warm the place up really nicely in the rainy season.
