We welcomed Michelle and her lovely family to our home in July when we went on our annual holiday. From the very first time we started talking, we really warmed to Michelle and knew that she understood how important our animals and home are to us. We had a few 'pre meetings' on Skype in the run up to the holiday period and it was a lovely opportunity to meet Michelle, Sean and the boys and for them to meet al of us, our animals and even have a little tour of the house through Skype. My boys were keen to show her boys their bedrooms and the animals! During our holiday, Michelle and Sean kept in touch and we felt extremely reassured that they were also having a good holiday in our house (which is just as important!). Being a slightly OCD scientist, I had left some detailed notes and post-it notes around the house really just to ensure they had all the information they needed - but they knew they could get in touch at any point if they needed to. Sadly one of our chickens passed away during their stay (it was our oldest girl and the extreme heat was just too much for her so it was not unexpected) and I was so very touched with the level of care that Michelle gave to her. She regularly sent videos and photos so that I could see what was happening and she sought my advice at every step. I felt really bad that this happened but Michelle went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. When we returned home, the house was immaculate. Our beds had been made up ready (we got home quite late at night) with a lovely 'welcome home' basket of goodies and milk and bread for the morning. We felt truly lucky to have had Michelle and her family staying in our house and taking care of our home, garden and much loved animals. I would recommend them to anyone. They are a fabulous family and my only regret is that we never met in person!
Joseph was a fantastic house sitter and looked after our home and cats extremely well. He was very communicative and sent us lots of photos and videos while we were away. Joseph was very helpful with dealing with tradespeople and visiting the vets when asked. Our girls were very relaxed after our long trip away and are most definitely missing Joseph! We wouldn’t hesitate to have Joseph house sit again and would thoroughly recommend him to others requiring a house sit.
