George and Larissa did an outstanding job taking care of my two dogs and an indoor cat. They arrived to my home a night earlier to get settled and waited for me to come home before leaving. They did a particularly excellent job taking care of one of my dogs, who got suddenly sick and had to be hospitalized a few days prior to their arrival. Knowing this, George and Larissa still decided to come and help with my sick dog. They ended up helping a great deal coordinating with the pet emergency hospital, picking up medicines from a pharmacy, picking up new dog food, and coordinating with one of my friends in the area to help take care of my dog. They picked up the dog when he was released the hospital and did a perfect job organizing and administering all the medications with the correct amount and periodicity needed per the hospital’s instructions. They also left my house clean and ready for me to take over again. Thanks George and Larissa! Your family is beautiful!
We knew we had booked a great sit, but.... this went far and above being a great sit. DREAM SIT!!! A new rating system needed. 5 STARS is not enough. First we want to thank Carolyn and Patrick. Connected with a video chat and immediately felt like we were chatting with old friends. Continued our email communications all the way up to our dates and by the time we arrived... felt like family. What a great couple! Won't go into details, but you will not find nicer kinder hosts than these two. Above and beyond! The home and location were incredible. A beautiful (yet simple) beach cottage that had all the comforts we could have hoped for. The practically "on ocean" location... PRICELESS!!! We've travelled the world far and wide and this matches any experience we've had. The marine and wildlife that was on our "doorstep" cannot be matched. Seals, otters, eagles, deer, rabbits and more were within feet of us at most times (depending on tides for feeding). This was the equivalent of an African Safari (West Coast version). Will never forget this visit. Could go on and on, but need to get to the reason for our stay. Sukey!! Soooo sweet and definitely the eldest of the hundreds of pets we have cared for over the past seven years. Although mostly blind and deaf, she was still full of life and took advantage of us our entire stay. From extra special gourmet dinners (on command) to lots of snuggles, she got it! And we loved it all. We love all dogs (all animals for that matter), but our time with Sukey confirmed that senior pets have a VERY special place in our hearts. Heartbreaking that in most cases we will not see these pets for a second visit (although many we do), but worth every moment even if it is just the one time. Sukey will always be special to us.
Such a fantastic sit! Henry is the sweetest and lots of fun. He was amazing to walk with and he was always so excited when you got back home after being out for a little while. The location couldn’t be better and we loved walking around the neighbourhood and Hyde Park just as much as Henry. Elizabeth is so kind and made our stay so enjoyable. She is super easy to communicate with and really easy going! The flat is great and has everything you could need. We would absolute come back and if you get the chance we highly recommend this sit.. We already miss Henry and it was a tough one to leave!
