Jo and Charlie were the most perfect hosts and left me with comprehensive information.
Their dogs are amazing animals, each with their own personalities and are a pleasure to sit for.

What can I say? Holly was a quiet, sweet natured soul who was quite timid at first but then belly rubs by the end. Her hips were bothersome (on medication) but once warmed up loved her little walks. We even tried some ball fetch after the walks just for 10 mins, which she got very excited about. Actually she was so skilled that I caught myself saying ‘this dog could play for England!’ However it was her nose that trumped everything, sniffing here and there… a perfect setting with foxes and usual rural accompaniments. Just to note though it is secluded but does have Totnes a few miles down the road. It’s a lovely sit and the hosts are warm and welcoming… Ty Matt and Catherine…highly recommend!

Lauren is very communicative if you have any questions. Gus is even cuter in person. He enjoyed cuddle and belly rubs, and of course the walks. Gonna miss the little guy!

The place is clean, tidy, spacious, well-furnished and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Bonus, her desk has a monitor, which is super convenient if you work on a laptop.

Cosmo has got to be the sweetest dog I have ever met. He's hilarious too. We had a lovely time hanging out and escaping from the triple digit heat! He's a great walker, we were charged a few times by dogs off leashes during our walks and he was as calm as a cucumber. Such a good boy. He love love loves to fetch balls and he trained me to retrieve them very well as he will fetch but not return them! Lol He seemed happy to have a friend visiting and was just an all around happy go lucky guy with a gentle soul.
The home is very comfortable, clean and has a very chill, loving vibe in it. I felt completely safe in the neighborhood. The hot tub was drained for the summer but the tub is deep enough to soak in if you need to soak after a day of hiking any of the nearby trails. The internet is excellent and I was able to telecommute with no issues. Courtney had everything organized and available for me and was easy to communicate with. Their family pictures are adorable and will make your heart smile.
The back yard cannot be beat for sitting outdoors, playing fetch with Cosmo, drinking a cool beverage under the shade tree, watching the butterflies, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood and bonus, the next-door neighbors hens are quite vocal when they lay their eggs! Inner city convenience with, country charm.
If you get the chance to sit for this family and hang out with Cosmo you should jump on it. I wish it wouldn't have been so hot as I would have loved to have gone on more outdoor adventures with him.
