We absolutely loved our time here! Really relaxing environment with a lot of love from the dogs. Poms Lily, Bonnie and tiny Jessie, chihuahua Toby, who loves to follow you everywhere! Barney and his love of his toys! and Pal who loved being mothered! They settled with us well and are a pleasure to look after. All their little personalities made it a fab stay. We also loved the ponies, horses, sheep and hens! Samantha and Ronan made us feel so welcome! It was lovely to have use of the pool! If you love open spaces and animals this is perfect!
It was such a nice time we had at the Johnson Family’s place. They gave us a really warm welcome and prepared a meal for us. As we had a longer journey we appreciated this very mutch. Their kids showed our kids around and even prepared some toys for presents. Phoebe is a fun and young dog that is always ready for action. Our girls loved to play with her and kept running with her through the garden all day. Whenever we had a question Harriet was replying really fast. The House is very pretty with a beautiful garden and a small playing area for the kids. Thanks for the nice time and everything.
Carrie and Chase’s home was wonderful and the pool was a nice bonus to my sit. Ototo and Puchi, the two cats, were great and once the warmed up to were very cuddly and affectionate. Atlas, their dog, was super sweet but didn’t want to eat much while they were away. Carrie was very quick to respond with suggestions and help where he was concerned. The location of their home also made venturing out into Austin, quite easy and I had such a wonderful experience overall!
We had a great house sit in Devon. The cats are a great mix of personalities, some choosing to cuddle and even sleep with us while others were more independent. Because they are so different it really didn't feel like it was so many cats! The garden is beautiful and, while not a chore, was honestly more work than the cats :) The house is wonderful, very comfortable and so well organized that it was really easy to do everything that was needed during the sit. Budleigh Salterton is a lovely little town and the beach hut was a great bonus. We visited Christine and her husband a few weeks prior and they were very welcoming, showing us where everything is kept, how to work things and even a tour of the town. This allowed for a very smooth and easy transition when we arrived for the sit. We wouldn't hesitate to return!
Tarra is wonderful. And Marcel and Harlan and Heart are beautiful critters. I fed the birds fresh pear and apple pieces when I had them. They’re all so sweet and effortless to take care of. And Tarra’s place is warm and comfortable and has everything you could ever need, especially in the kitchen. I love her kitchen. The cookware, the spices, the stovetop, the tea kettles, the knives. Also the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. Also the location! Tarra lives in an old artsy neighborhood, full of charming old houses built in the 1800s. What a gorgeous neighborhood to walk around. You can find anything you need within a ten minute walk. Go to Kuni’s! And the Lexington Co-Op! Thank you Tarra : )
