James and Penny were amazing hosts. Penny had already left when we arrived, but James, who usually doesn’t cook, not only picked us up at the train but had also prepared us a delicious dinner. They left detailed instructions as well as some handy laminated maps to explore the countryside. Tilly the terrier is a darling - extremely well behaved and fun to take on adventures. The house itself is lovely - beautifully decorated and cozy. The village is delightful, with a little grocery store and a couple of pubs in a 30 minutes walk, which we enjoyed with Tilly in tow. We really enjoyed hiking across the fields and attending the village events. If you have an opportunity to house sit for this hospitable couple, jump at it, then jump into rural village life with both feet. It’s an experience we won’t forgot. I couldn't have asked for a better house sitting experience! Deana and Dennis are so very kind and have become very close friends of mine! Brutus is the best dachshund I have ever met, such a wonderful soul! The house and surrounding gardens are breath taking! Deana and Dennis were great, they very obviously adore Brutus, and have since adopted 2 boarder collie pups. The communication was clear, informative, and helpful. I can't thank Deana and Dennis enough for this great opportunity, and most importantly, I gained two great friends! I highly recommend this sitting opportunity!
Got to be one of the best possible house sits. Annabel and Bertie made us feel so welcome when we arrived and made us a lovely dinner that evening. The three dogs are all so amazing, sweet and loving and it was so easy to look after them. We really miss them! The house is just stunning, surrounded by fields to go for nice walks with the dogs. We would absolutely love to come back and sit again in the future. Thanks again, Annabel and Bertie.
Sara and Nicholas were perfect hosts with an excellent handover and a delicious supper the night before their departure. They have a beautiful home in a wonderful part of the world. We enjoyed local walks from the house and further a field in the the countryside and the coast. The highlight of our stay were the company of Bertie and Percy. They loved their walks, especially on the beach. Considering Bertie is getting on in years he kept up with us all and other than having to lift him in and out of the car wasn't a moment's both. Percy is a bundle of delight and his tail is constantly wagging. If you ever have the opportunity to sit at Lea House l am sure you'll have a wonderful time.
Maisy is such a loving dog! We enjoyed hanging out with her and going on great walks. She doesn’t pull AT ALL. She’s a true companion, and it’s a pleasure. She enjoyed exploring and seeing the Halloween decorations in the neighborhood, which is very walkable and has nice shade. Clarissa and Brian are thoughtful, friendly hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome. We came a day before, and Brian showed us around their lovely, comfortable home. Brian and Clarissa stayed in excellent communication while they were gone and promptly answered any questions we had. Keller is a pretty town with great restaurants and shopping nearby, and it’s an easy drive to anywhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We would definitely stay for Brian and Clarissa again and highly recommend a stay with Maisy to anyone who has an opportunity!
Marissa did a great job telling me about Ruby and details about her home, and left excellent instructions. Everything was just as she described it. Ruby was wonderful, easy to care for, fun to take on walks and very well behaved at home.
