Congyu and Kate are excellent dog/housesitters. Our border collie mix Angus got lots of exercise and playtime -- we came home to a tired and happy pup. They texted me updates with photos, so I didn't worry one minute while away. I returned to a very clean house and fresh linen. They also watered plants and brought in mail. But the main thing was a happy dog -- I'd recommend Congyu and Kate to anyone, and would be happy to have them back. They are reliable and great with pets!
Helen was a wonderful cat and home sitter. I honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. She was communicative, responsible, clean, and most importantly, my skittish kitty quickly took to her. Helen's communication was excellent, necessary for a rather complex setup. Helen had to coordinate with neighbors and a hand-off of the sitting responsibilities to my housemate who returned before I did. Helen is a professional whose work requires she be clear, calm, and personable. So there was always ease in her communication, and all coordination was seamless. Helen kept me in the loop without burdening me and left great bullet messages for my housemate and myself to prevent any confusion. She was responsible without crossing the line; for example, I left her with a drain that had a clogging issue that I had neglected to clear up before she arrived. Helen contacted me to propose solutions rather than taking action that I might not have wanted. She kept me in the loop about mail that came that might need attention, responded immediately and warmly any time I reached out, and left the house cleaner than when I left it. As for caring for my Roxie, Helen was also excellent. Roxie was a runaway and has been a one-human kitty - and VERY slow to warm to strangers. But Roxie was sitting in her lap within days!!! She is getting older and has become picky about her food - it has to be just the right temperature and quantity, or she doesn't keep it down. This concern didn't phase Helen, who has her own finicky kitty and "gets it". She kept in touch with photos that reassured me all was well and how quickly Roxie had warmed to her. I would have no reservation recommending Helen for any sitting position!
