I had the pleasure of meeting Carrie and Don along with the rest of the pet family, and Karl, an exotic plant before the sit. Only Gus, Karl, and outdoor plants needed to be cared for, which were easy. Gus is such an affectionate and sweet cat. I fell in love with him. Don and Carrie’s home is stunning and the views are breathtaking. I loved the walks around Ballard, especially walks along the marina and Golden Gardens beach. You will love this sit and all involved.
I have just recently spend a lovely (2) weeks in Emma's very comfortable home in Elstead/Godalming. Emma is the easiest/friendliest person to meet. She made setting up the Sit a pleasure. She was in touch with any texts I sent off, which (for any Sitter/s) is very reassuringing in case of any emergency that may occur! There was everything on hand to make for a relaxing Sit. Her kitchen is well laid out for any evenings which I preferred to spend at home. More channels on her lovely big tv than I could possibly get through. I had an ensuite bedroom with an exceptionally comfortable bed which afforded me many a good nights sleep. Plenty of front door parking which is always appreciated by us weary travellers! Emma has lovely neighbours, who are in no way intrusive, but who in a pinch would help out in an emergency. Which I always find comforting as one never knows when back-up maybe needed!! Kiks (the cat) is gorgeous & absolutely no bother at all to look after. Until she got comfortable with me she spent a lot of time sleeping in Emmas's bedroom. Until she deigned me with her presence & chatted to me. Eventually getting up on the sofa to keep me company on tv nights & sometimes at breakfast time she would just sit outside the back door for five minutes before shooting back upstairs. Like I mentioned "absolutely no bolther at all" but adorable with it!!! I always find it very handy when homes have a corner shop close by & Elstead has just that, which includes a post office. But for them who preferr a bigger selection, Godalming is only a 5/10 minute drive where you will be spoilt for choice! There is also a library there which for me is a big plus! As is with everywhere in this old country "loads & loads"of history all around. I was very happy to also have lots of golf course to choose from (another big .plus)!! All in all this is a great Sit. I am going back for a repeat Sit in June & hopefully lots more in the future. But if you are ever invited I would say "do not" pass up the chance to meet Emma & Kiks, they are both delightful!! Thanx again Emmas for choosing me. I had a wonderful time!!! See you in a few weeks.
Charlotte and Julian gave us a very warm welcome in their wonderful home and we felt at ease immediately . Charlotte showed us around in the house so we knew where to find everything, how the appliances worked etc .she took us for a walk with Woody and drew us a map so we would'nt get lost. Woody is a very well behaved, easygoing and affectionate dog who loves his cuddles (and his food !)and it was a real pleasure to sit him. The surroundings are very beautiful and we could start walking him immediately outside the property. The house is to die for and very comfortable. Cooking was very pleasant in their large kitchen. There's lots of walks and pretty villages to discover in the neighbourhood, and even a nice pub across the street that serves great food ! Communication was perfect from the beginning and it felt as if we'd known them for years. A perfect sit !
I loved taking care of Homer and Wit. They were lovely. The house was great, and Sarah and Geoff did their best to make sure I had everything I needed and my stay was comfortable.
