We fell in love with Lenny and Nora while staying at this incredible apartment in Curl Curl, just steps from a stunning beach. The location is breathtaking, and the apartment has everything you need for a perfect stay. The best part was taking Lenny and Nora for beach walks, playing fetch, and running with them by the shore. At home, they were calm and respectful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Lauren and Tim were attentive and helpful, providing all the information we needed about the little babies and always ready to answer our questions. We’ll miss Lenny and Nora dearly. For a beautiful beachside escape with wonderful hosts and adorable companions, this is the perfect place!
Lovely family with gorgeous sibling cats. Very accommodating, lovely house in great area, would definitely sit again for Charlotte.
It was a pleasure to take care of Luna and Nala in Chrissie's lovely home. The 'girls' were a delight to be with and have been very well trained. We were able to take them on really interesting and different walks which they loved. It was very joyful to see them bounding through the forests and coming back to us when we called them. Chrissie was very thoughtful and provided us with an array of treats and cooked a lovely traditional British meal for us when we arrived. We would highly recommend sitting for Chrissie, Luna and Nala if you get the opportunity.
James victor was a lovely host with a comfortable home. We came and met him and the dogs before he left. He explain everything we needed to know. The dogs (Doce and Snickers) are super chill. They played with toys and hangout in the living mostly. They are very sweet and lovely dogs. The experience was great and we would house again.
Lola was a delight to sit and Tom was a great host and made sure to explain fully what would be entailed and required of us during our stay! (Through the brief and just before he left) Which really helped us as me and my partner are new to house sitting together! We had a great time with her and she was very excitable throughout the entirety of the stay which made her such great company! Tom helped us feel very welcome by setting up his spare room kindly for us, and the house itself was very comfortable and was a close walk to the shops, beach and bus route, so great for those who don’t drive and need to be close to any amenities. We also had access to Netflix, prime, amongst other things, and Lola settled very quickly to us being there. She’s quite an energetic dog so best suited to those who are also energetic themselves!
Winky, Benny, and Piper were a lot of fun to take care of. Winky enjoys her walks and is like clockwork with toileting. The park at the end of the street is a great place to walk to since there are trash cans to deposit the waste bags as well as plenty of interesting smells for Winky to sniff. Benny has a condition that makes him wobbly, but that does not slow him down a bit! He makes a wobbly beeline to the food bowl when he hears the automatic feeder go off. He takes medicine 12 hours apart using a pulling device. This is not anything to worry about—he takes his medicine very easily and passively. Piper is a funny mischievous cat. Don’t leave the guest room door open thinking you’ll just pop in and out and she won’t get in. She will! But she is easy enough to get out too. She is playful too. The house is in a great section of Philadelphia—an easy walk to the art museum, cafes, restaurants, and bars, but enough removed to not be right in the action. The only issue I had with the sit was that the house was not cleaned prior to my arrival, except for the bedroom. I spent the first two hours cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. It was not a great way to start the sit and not at all what I would expect in an exchange situation like Trusted Housesitters. That being said, I gave feedback to the homeowners and, assuming they act on it, I would recommend this sit to others.
