Emily was my first experience with Zeewoi and it was wonderful. Her communication prior to the sit was excellent, and it continued throughout. She provided daily photos of the dogs and updtated me on the activities of the day. Both my dogs loved her dog and all got along well. We were out of state and concerned about the possiblity of delayed or cancelled flights, but she assured me she would not leave until she knew we were on the way or had made arrangements for the dogs. Upon our return the house was left neat, to the extent that she had washed and replaced the bed linens. She even left us a small gift and a sweet thank you card. We will likely plan future trips around her availability. It's so much easier to relax and enjoy time away knowing that Emily is taking care of our dogs and watching the house. Thank you, Emily!

Tracy was FANTASTIC! She kept my boys (2 standard poodles) safe and entertained for our long weekend away. The house was just as we left it and she accommodated all of our needs for the dogs. I would 100% have her back!

WOW, that’s the 1st word that comes to our minds when we reflect on Michael & Jeanne…WOW! We really need much more than 5 stars to impress upon you what great sitters they are.

The most important quality to us in a sitter is the care of our cat, Ray. Ray quickly was comfortable with them and early on in the sit joined them on their bed (a sure sign that Ray really likes you). We could tell by the condition of his coat that he received a high amount of brushing (which we really appreciated and he loves). Ray was also active with them; going into their bedroom, playing round ball, walking on the sofa while watching TV…all signs that he is leading his normal life. It was super wonderful to come home and see that Ray had not gained weight too!

Communication was excellent from the moment they applied. The walk through was a breeze & we felt completely at ease when we left. They texted with pictures and videos every day throughout our trip.
The videos were the best, as we could see that Ray was leading his normal happy lifestyle and we enjoyed communicating with them daily.

We were totally impressed to come home to an extremely clean home. We always hand over a very clean house to sitters and rarely get it handed back to us in exactly the same shape, but Michael & Jeanne gave us a sparkling clean home. Even the bathroom shower glass was sparkling, which never happens!

We highly recommend them as sitters, and you will be completely at ease welcoming them into your home. They are welcome back anytime.

Many thanks, Michael & Jeanne, for allowing us to travel with our minds at ease knowing Ray and our home were in great hands. Coming back to a clean home & a tasty meal in the fridge was a special treat!
We look forward to staying in touch with you & feel certain we will meet up with you again.

Maryrose
I recently had the pleasure of housesitting for Maryrose and Charles, taking care of their beloved dog, Tiger, in their spacious and characterful home. My experience was largely positive, though not without a few challenges.

Firstly, Tiger stole my heart from the moment I met her. Despite her initial nervousness, her sweet disposition made every moment worthwhile. Our daily games of football, both indoors and outdoors, became part of a fun routine. Maryrose and Charles were incredibly welcoming hosts, offering not only their hospitality but also sharing some fantastic recipes—a useful bonus to my stay.

The house itself, although large and old with its fair share of draughts, exuded charm and had all the necessary amenities. You should also check out Maryrose's paintings which I thought were beautiful. The presence of Norah, the helpful cleaning lady, and Richard, the friendly gardener, added to the overall comfort of the environment. However, staying during the winter months presented its challenges, particularly with the heating which isn't on a great deal. Balancing the warmth from the AGA with the need for a fire in the sitting room and additional heaters required some adjustment but was manageable once a routine was established. There was plenty of wood for the fire and it did make for a cosy evening.

My own dog, Sonny, quickly bonded with Tiger, creating adorable moments together. Unfortunately, a flea outbreak, which could have been prevented with timely treatment, interrupted their friendship. I washed all the bedding twice and gave Tiger her treatment. After discussing the issue with THS it was agreed my departure could be earlier than planned. As it happened this was just a day earlier in the end while Maryrose and Charles had arrangements in the UK, Norah came to the rescue. However, while I must emphasise that such incidents are ultimately the responsibility of the homeowners Maryrose was in contact frequently while all of this was going on.

On a brighter note, the location offered plenty of activities, from exploring Beeston Castle to enjoying some lovely walks. For those craving urban adventures, Manchester, Chester, and Liverpool are within easy reach. Tiger even enjoyed accompanying me to the local pub for lunch, proving to be a well-behaved and delightful companion. 😀

The property itself has additional amenities such as a tennis court, swimming pool, and hot tub.

In conclusion, despite the flea outbreak hiccup, my overall experience with Maryrose, Charles, and Tiger was highly enjoyable. I extend my gratitude to Maryrose for entrusting me with the care of her beloved pet. I would recommend this housesit to fellow TrustedHousesitters members, with the caveat to ensure Tiger's flea treatment is up to date prior to arrival.
