Keith and Ellen's home is located perfectly to explore southern France and the Pyrenees. Keith and Ellen were the best home owners, helping us with travel arrangements and picking us up from the train station. We spent a day with them being briefed on the pets and the running of the house and they left very clear instructions and notes on everything we would wish to know about, including local market days and places to visit. We were even introduced to the French neighbours and some English speaking friends which was so nice. Their car was very easy to drive and while we spent most of the time just relaxing in the spacious home, it came in handy for visiting the local town for food supplies and a wonderful trip to Bagnères-de-Bigorre for a thermal spa afternoon and then up to the Alps for a walk around in the snow. The pets were really easy to look after with the chickens having an easy routine and the cats just delightful. We enjoyed winning the trust of Orlando and having long lazy nights next to the fire soaking up lots of love and cuddles from Joyte. We highly recommend Keith and Ellen as homeowners, you leave feeling like you have spent time with family rather than a house sit.
Ryan and Jeri are some of the most hospitable and kind people you'll meet. They have a wonderful cozy home, near all the great things Beaverton has to offer, and close to the max train to take you to downtown Portland. Their dog Betty is a cute, energetic pup, with a little mischievous side. Luckily Betty just has two major energy upkicks throughout the day, but in between she's happy to hang out and keep you company. She was great in the car. I haven't experienced a dog as young as her that's so well behaved in the car. I enjoyed getting to take her in my adventures!
I had a lovely time here. Judith left clear instructions and the house was perfect for what I wanted - a lovely place to stay close to all amenities and near the bush - I enjoyed the kaka outside the window. Cats were lovely and easy to look after. I was very comfortable.
We very much enjoyed our pet sit with Aspen and Shadow. They were very easy cuddle bugs after they warmed up to us. The home was very comfortable and Andrea and Eric left us with a number of great recommendations for activities and restaurants . The neighborhood was beautiful with abundant cactus and great valley views from this foothill location. Thanks very much for choosing to be your Trusted House Sitter.
A splendid experience. We were sorry to miss meeting Charlotte in person but were able to get to know Herbie with an overlap in the timing of our arrival. Ivory — who floats along like a pretty, white cloud in the Somerset sky — is an amiable cat, with her dainty miaow, independent streak, and intense gaze. We had overall excellent bus transport experiences (Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury) and also, enjoyed the walk to/from Glastonbury (where there’s a good natural foods shop). Hosts left us a comprehensive binder of house info. and maps/guides and the like. The countryside walks (hard copy maps graciously provided by the hosts) in Street were brilliant. We also encountered many lovely locals in the shops along the High Street, including the lively Crispin Centre. Ever thanks for accepting our application, Herbie and Charlotte!
