I loved these dogs. The dogs were very easy and mostly slept all day. Shaggy was more independent while Pheobe followed me around and wanted to be around me all the time. They were easy to walk and we enjoyed our strolls around the neighborhood.
I had a wonderful time staying in Tavronitis. I spent a couple of days with Helle initially which was so helpful and highly recommended. She is such a kind and generous person. We had a couple of trips out and amazing food, I felt like I was on holiday with my friend! The house is big and beautiful and so light and fully equipped. I was blessed with great weather and there is always sun on one of the two 1st floor balconies. The area was very quiet and peaceful as it was out of season, lots of birds and nature around and I walked along the beach every day. I felt really sad leaving here. All the cats are adorable. The indoor cat Grey was my little mate for 2 weeks. I was studying so I was at home quite a bit. She’s a very well behaved and intelligent cat and great company. She’s very talkative and I think she understood every single word that I spoke to her! Snow white was in and out, but mostly out. Such a sweet natured and affectionate cat. And the 8 strays are also so cute and funny with their different personalities. Now Bella. I find it hard talking about her without getting upset. It breaks your heart to see a dog treated in this way, looking so sad and chained up most of the time. These walks really mean everything to her. The reaction you get when you arrive and how she licks your hand to thank you when you leave. I also made a lot of fuss of her with lots of stroking. Bella is a beautiful soul and so is Helle for dedicating her time to walking her every day, as well as feeding all the stray cats. This sit was one of the most worth-while and rewarding sits I have had the pleasure of doing. Thank you Helle, I really hope I get the opportunity to come back and see you all again.
