Loved this sit! Tula is a delightful little dog. Very obedient and relaxed, yet loves a long walk or even a 'sniff-walk'. I took Tula to the beach (20 mins walk) and along the Ilex - an avenue of oak trees planted nearly 200 years ago. Pickle is very friendly and loved sitting on my lap. He's an independent cat who dutifully sleeps in his little cat house at night. The annex was very comfortable and a great place to do remote work from. Communication with Sharon was good, although I didn't get to meet her in person. We remained in regular contact and all went well. The village is on a central bus route to Brighton, while there are two train stops within 15 mins walk. Apart from visiting Brighton, I also visited Arundel Castle. It was difficult to say goodbye to Pickle and Tula – I'd love to do another sit in the near future.
I had a really lovely time housesitting for Suzanne and Wes. Max, Lola and Moo are really wonderful - so much character and lots of fun. Max is a wise old gentleman and the relationship between Moo and Lola is hilarious to watch! The weather was great during my stay so I also got to enjoy their stunning garden which myself and the furry gang enjoyed immensely! Communication with Suzanne and Wes was always really easy - even when they were in places with bad coverage and they were so, so thoughtful with the instructions they left behind and how they prepared for my housesit. The location is also wonderful - its a nice walk or a quick taxi ride into the city centre. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this housesit!
This was a perfect THS sit! We fell in love with Eva, well trained and endlessly playful. She appreciated walks in the woods surrounding the property as well as a long hike to one of the mountains in the area (many dog friendly options at less than 30min drive). Boo-boo the cat is super low maintenance, pretty much independent, she was in-n-out at her will. The house is comfortable with a wonderful view of the valley and Camel Hump peak, we were at ease and felt it filled with beautiful energy. A reflection of its owners, Kirstin and Brian, with whom it was super easy to communicate with. Certainly a place and pets we'd enjoy visiting and caring for anytime.
We have just spent four very enjoyable days at Julia's beautiful, warm and comfortable home in the Warwickshire countryside. Julia is a lovely lady and made us very welcome as soon as we arrived and concerned that we had everything we needed, including plenty of logs for the wood fires. She showed us to our sunny bedroom with double aspect looking out over the garden. All very clean and beautifully appointed. We even had pink and blue towels! Pipsqueak and Dolly were an absolute delight; each with their individual character and clearly both very fond of each other. Pippy the terrier was sharp as a button and into everything and always interested in what is going on. Dolly more laid back! Both were just so funny and very affectionate towards us. We would highly recommend Julia's housesit and hope that we can go back again soon.
We only had a few days with Psyche and Juno but thoroughly enjoyed our time caring for them. Once Psyche got to know us she settled down and loved to explore Vicenza with us. Rachel was easy to communicate with and very clear on instructions etc. Overall great sit in a charming little town.
Belinda and Lee were the best hosts we have experienced on our year long trip to France. Chateau Mareuil is wonderful as is the owners cottage and studio gite. The best part of the sit were the animals! Misty and Merlin were affectionate and well behaved! We would highly recommend this sit to anyone interested in a lovely location and experience!
