What a lovely welcome we got from David and Sue who treated us to a delicious dinner on arrival. We were shown the ropes and introduced to the 3 musketeers who are the most delightful dogs. Their amazing converted barn lies in the middle of beautiful countryside and we really enjoyed staying there. We were able to explore the local area with so many places of interest within half an hours drive. Communication before arrival was excellent. What a privilege to share their home and dog family even in darkest January!
Our stay at Christine and Mike's house was amazing! The sit lasted for 5 weeks and their house could not have been more comfortable. Minding their 3 cats and 2 dogs was the best part, though. The pets are a complete joy to be around and they are all rather easygoing. As for the dogs, Nellie is without a doubt the most well behaved dog you will ever meet, like a wise old sage! Lily is full of love and very eager to play and follow Nellie. We took them both on hikes just about everyday on the mesa and they both had a blast rolling along as a little pack of dogs. The cats really warmed up to us and always came out together to greet us as we entered the house after being out for a few hours on a hike! You can hear Ned purring from across the room, for he was always happy to see you. Molly chirped and followed us around the house and Lucy just happily presided over the goings-on with total cat-like dignity. As mentioned, the house was very cozy, peaceful and private. We both found quite a few books to read and plenty to watch on the television in the evening. Taking the dogs out in the morning involved letting them out into the fenced-in yard and hiking on the mesa meant no leashes, for the property is quite private and the dogs are a joy to be out with and impeccably behaved. Christine and Mike were very easily contactable during the 5 weeks we were at their home. There is quite the time difference between New Mexico and where they were in England, but Christine was always there to respond to our updates or help with a query we may have had. She was also very good at communicating with us prior to arriving at their home. Mike even shared some of his amazing recipes with us from across the miles! Mike loves to cook and, as a result, the kitchen was stocked with every gadget we needed to prepare 5 weeks worth of home-cooked food! Honestly, we were so comfortable in their home, it was fantastic. Sitting for Christine and Mike is something we would recommend to ANYONE on this service! Period. Spending time with the 5 furries was a joy. They are each so different but they will all have a special place in your heart. We miss them all right now and can't wait to see them again.
Absolutely wonderful sit. I’m so grateful to Emma & Fiona for welcoming and trusting me to look after Beau & Molly while they were on holiday. Beau is a gorgeous, eccentric little character with his funny affectionate noises and weird spots he like to sleep in. Molly is such a sweet, well trained Lab who really just wants to play, whether tug or with her frisbee. They both have lovely temperaments and are easy to care for, and fun to spend time with. Fiona & Emma were especially accommodating, having me a night early and allowing me to stay on a few extra nights at the end with just Molly at Emma’s house, which was a godsend seeing as their homes are in the most beautiful part of Edinburgh. Communication was easy, Fiona, Emma & family are really friendly & welcoming. The house is beautifully equipped, really it’s a luxury, and access to the private parks locally made dog walking very convenient, honestly couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable sit. I’d love to come back next year 💛
We had a wonderful time staying at Ashley's. Her house is very big, nice, and comfortable. Ashley had very clear instructions about the house and dogs. She answered all my questions very quickly. We fell in love with Moqui and Remington. We had so much fun playing and cuddling with them. They are very smart, love playing fetch, and fighting for your attention. We are definitely going to miss our new furry friends.
My mom and I had a wonderful time at Linda’s! Her home and garden are beautiful, and her cats were sweet and so so friendly from the moment we walked in. Linda left very detailed instructions, and was responsive throughout the sit. It was a delightful vacation for us :) We’d love to go back!
Sitting for Tim and Maria was wonderful! They are warm and welcoming and their apartment is very cozy in the bustling big city. Their baby Lolita is so sweet and lovable. She loves her toys and squirrels 🐿️! I will miss her so much and would definitely sit for this family again.
