It was a pleasure to communicate with Penny prior to the pet-sit - and to be able to meet her ‘in person’ in a Zoom chat. She’s one of those special people whose friendliness and openness makes you feel that sense of comfortable familiarity. Situated in a lane just off the High Street, Penny’s home is in a remarkably quiet location.. It’s spacious, exceptionally comfortable, tastefully decorated - and has the bonus of a piano and some nice pieces of art. Perhaps even more importantly, sunlight pours into every room - further enhancing Penny’s good energy! As if all that isn’t enough, the upstairs rooms boast beautiful views of the Sussex Downs. Hilly little Lewes is a postcard perfect English town with pleasant views in every direction, a myriad of independent antiques, clothing and gift shops - as well as excellent restaurants, coffee shops, bars, bakeries, and delis in the half mile length of the High Street. Exploring all the charming lanes and twittens in the town could keep you occupied for months, but don’t miss out on taking a few of the many picturesque walks in the surrounding area. And then there’s little man Henry...who’s now grown into a fine larger kitten. He has a voracious appetite and will certainly let you know when it’s time for his meals! He loves having his head and throat scratched and being stroked - and because he’s still a kitten, he has a tremendous amount of energy which you must help him expend by playing with him often - which is great fun! You can expect him to come to your room in the morning and smother you in lovely cuddles. And throughout the day and evening he’ll be coming and going through his cat flap on his adventures nearby. You don’t have to worry about him as he’s never gone for too long because he wouldn’t want to be late for his meals! Just a couple of little cautions are to not leave your food unattended - and to make sure. in his excitement and need for play, that you avoid the claws!
Shauna and Brian were absolutely lovely to sit for. Loki and Khloe were about the easiest and sweetest doggies to take care of. We hiked for miles and miles with Loki and the training invested in him paid off in good behavior when we were consistent with his commands. Khloe, who is older, walks to her own beat, but loves nothing more than to be right there with you. If you love animals that love people and snuggling, these are the doggies for you. Beside there beautiful and comfortable home, Shauna and Brian were excellent and prompt in their communications and the whole sit felt like a breeze. We would not hesitate to come sit for them again whenever our schedules match up again.

I had a wonderful time at Lisa and Shaun’s place. Guinness is the most gorgeous dog, he’s smart, cheeky, playful and very cuddly. Their house is really beautiful with so many lovely spaces to read and relax. The location is also great, so close to all the shops, movies, and the most awesome dog park I’ve ever been to. Lisa and Shaun were also so easy to deal with and I’d thoroughly recommend them as great hosts! Thanks again Lisa and Shaun. I hope I get to play with Guinny again soon 😊
We really enjoyed this sit!! Leslie and Michael were very friendly, organized, flexible and welcoming. All the info for caring for their cats was clear. During the sit, they were quickly responsive to questions. Their house was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the yoga/exercise room. We also loved their cats. Peaches was friendly right away, and Lola and Lucy warmed up to us after a couple of days. They are very mellow cats and easy to care for. Peaches does like to do yoga with you :) We would sit here again without question! Thanks!!
