My recent housesitting experience with Macarena was absolutely wonderful. We matched very quickly, and everything went smoothly and effortlessly from the start. Upon arriving at her place, Macarena warmly welcomed me and gave me a tour, introducing me to her sweet cat Leo. Leo is an absolute delight, always up for some cuddle time, particularly in the mornings. I enjoyed spending time with her, especially when she chilled in the patio during the day. Sleeping next to her was incredibly peaceful. Macarena's flat is lovely, cozy, clean, and tidy. It's located in a very cool area surrounded by bars and restaurants, which made exploring the neighborhood a cool experience, especially in the evenings. Communication with Macarena was excellent. She seemed to appreciate the pictures I took of Leo; she's quite the little model, and I couldn't resist capturing her adorable moments. I highly recommend this housesitting opportunity with Macarena. Thanks again for such a fantastic experience! Looking forward to the possibility of housesitting for you again in the future :)
We enjoyed our stay at Chris and Kathi's lovely house, they were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. Ginger and Anna are chill, lovable, good-natured dogs. We enjoyed taking them for walks around their beautiful neighborhood. The house is located about a mile from a grocery store and within a couple miles of several restaurants and stores. We definitely recommend this sit and would do it again if in the area. Thanks Kathi and Chris for a wonderful stay.
Rupert is a joy to look after. Likes to snuggle and loves being out on walks. She is a little bit cheeky which makes her even more enjoyable. House is in a great location by the river
We looked after Leo in San Miguel for 4 weeks. Steve is super easy going and good to be around - we spent a couple nights at his place before he departed so he could show us how everything worked and the daily routines. We felt fully equipped and good to go by the time he needed to leave. Leo is a little shy at first but you very quickly form a bond. He is so loveable. He was unwell at the start but Steve showed us where the vets was and gave us all the info we needed, as well as being responsive on the phone. He loves a short walk around the neighbourhood and we also took him to a quiet trail by the botanical gardens, which he loved. Just nowhere loud and busy! He’s a very anxious boy and likes to be close. The house is large, very comfortable and clean. It has everything you could possibly need and more. It was a really enjoyable house sit. We are going to miss Leo SO much. Thanks again Steve! 😃
Laura and Joe's beautiful home is in a very safe, peaceful, and quiet neighborhood. Sparkling clean, lovely, and easy to care for. The best part is the entertaining and talkative Chito! She is so easy and fun to take care of plus fun to play with! I had everything I needed including use of the garage for my car. I very highly reccomend this housesit!!

This business is an absolute blessing. My dog loves the daycare and is always excited when I tell her she’ll be going. The home environment for boarding makes it a good experience for dogs and cats alike, since they are staying in homey spaces rather than institutional kennels. All the staff are lovely people. Finally, the location and especially the entry garden are just stunning. It’s a beautiful place with good heart.
I reached out to All Critter Pet Care & Training to get some help with training my new pup alongside the dog I've had for a few years. I did the 5 week training plan and it helped a TON. Karry was excellent. I loved how straightforward she was. After training, we decided to put my youngest pup, Penny, into daycare weekly. Penny absolutely LOVES daycare! When I pull into the driveway she knows she's about to have a good day. She can't get through the door fast enough. It makes me feel good knowing that I'm leaving my girl in a place where she genuinely wants to be, and a place that I know she'll be safe (the dogs are never left unattended). Penny has a regular schedule, but she also goes on some other as-needed days. We don't know what we will do when we have to move :(
Highly recommend All Critter Pet Care! I know my puppy is well taken care of, getting good exercise and the socialization she needs. She loves to go play with her friends, and when she gets home she sleeps. She is better behaved at home as well. It’s awesome!
We loved training with Karry! We had a hard case with our pup and I can't properly express how much of a comfort she was with her knowledge. Karry really focused on training my husband and I on dog language so we could understand her better. This not only helped with training, but also helped all of our relationship in general. We really needed one on one training with our dog and we believe we made the right choice with choosing Karry. 10/10 recommend

Karry is an incredibly knowledgeable and gifted trainer. Duke, my Frenchie Boston mix, was highly reactive to other dogs and even nipping at my kids. I was at the end of my rope when I brought him to Karry. She gave me so much great information, and even more importantly, so much hands-on training. She showed me how to interact with Duke to help him behave. In 8 weeks, Duke has transformed. His reactivity to other dogs has decreased significantly and he is more polite in his interactions with people. Today, he passed his final test with flying colors. I would highly recommend Karry for any behavioral issues or training in general.
Karry Brooks is hands down the best dog trainer on the island. She doesn’t just show you basic commands and send you on your way. She helps you understand your dog and the way they process everything. She teaches you (as a human) patience, understanding, and the proper correction techniques. As a dog owner of a very reactive dog, I’ve learned to understand his needs and boundaries. Karry has, not only, transformed me as a dog owner, but has helped Dexter grow into a secure and confident dog. If you feel like you’ve lost any hope in training your dog, please see Karry before anything else. She can transform the bond between you and your pup as long as you’re willing to put in the work!
Karry was a great help to our military family. She is knowledgeable in the behavior of dogs and because of her advice we were able to get our dog on anxiety medication. If we still lived in the area we would use her services forever.

I would like to say that I haven't even started training my dog with her yet. We simply did an evaluation. I just can not say enough at how happy I was to have my dog meet Karry. She helped me with a lot of training tips. And she quoted fairly about the prices of her service. She was super patient with all of my questions.. And my dog who has very little training (since I just got him.)

The staff was very welcoming. I have never boarded my dog before and the moment I walked in everyone was giving my girl so much love and attention I felt at ease. It’s very clean I lover pulling up to the red barn and green fields. This is a very comfortable space.
Writing this review to hopefully help others because we were completely blindsided. THIS PLACE IS FAR FROM A RESORT!!! I did some research and Dogwood came recommended by others in the area. Looking at their website, I didn’t think it would be a traditional kennel, and that’s what they advertise. We went for a tour and I was appalled. I guess I didn’t do enough research because after reading some other reviews just now, I likely would have never set foot in this facility. Just looking at this the owner has responded to some negative reviews is very telling. I can’t imagine how these employees treat the pets staying here. First, the staff member who led the tour was far from friendly. She didn’t seem like someone who would give my dog any love or attention. If you go to the website and read the history, you’ll see that they opened this business to not be like other kennels. They state “some kennels are dark, windowless buildings with poor ventilation, cold floors, and low ceilings.” Upon entering the kennel, everything about that statement was true about Dogwood. The smell of urine could be smelt through a mask. The kennel area was extremely claustrophobic. Sure there are a few windows way up high, but overall it was dark and felt like a depressing animal shelter. They only let your dog out of the kennel twice a day for ten minutes. If you would like your dog to be let out more, you can pay to do so. Reading other reviews, this place charges for every little “upgrade” that seem like normal parts of our dog’s lives. To me, it was clear this place was just there to make money. I didn’t get the sense from the atmosphere or the employee that they would care at all for my dog. If you are looking for a place that would love and care for your dog, save yourself the time and don’t bother with Dogwood.
Deserve zero stars. Picked my dogs up after 4 days of boarding. They handed me back over 3/4 of the food I had given them. My smaller dog's face looked sunken in. Took them home bathed them then weighed them. Smaller dog had lost 10# and larger dog had lost 8#. They claimed they fed them twice per day, impossible considering how much food was returned and weight loss. Gave them enough food for those 4 days and like I said over 3/4 was returned. I've read other reviews that state they only let the boarded dogs out twice per day. After this stay I would wager a bet that they only see them once per day period. Feed them, let them out and see-ya tomorrow. I have large dogs that require 4 cups of food per day and they were given closer to 1.5 cups per day. If you love your dogs do NOT leave them in their care.
So clean and a great talented staff. They really know what they're doing here and your dogs and cats will be well taken care of, highly recommended!!
I used the Dogwood for years when I lived on Whidbey Island. This place is truly special and provides amazing care for furry friends. Every time I'd round the corner and head down the street toward the Dogwood my dog would get so excited! He absolutely loved it there. He required multiple medications and treatments and the staff always made sure he was well taken care of. He always came home exhausted and happy. Thank you to everyone at the Dogwood (especially you, Colleen) who made the time my friend spent on the island magical. He has since passed over the rainbow bridge but I am happy he was able to spend so many wonderful years visiting this place. Thank you to all the staff who make this place what it is.
We’ve been taking our sweet Stormy girl to Dogwood about every other month for the past six months for 5-10 days at a time. She’s had the best of time there. She’s always excited when we pull up and they are always happy to greet her when she comes in. Everything has been very straight forward and our dog has been very well cared for. This is a big deal not only to myself but my kids to knowing that she’s in good hands!♥️
Please reconsider taking ANY pet here!!! You may have the belief your pet will be safe, happy and well cared for, but that couldn't be further from the truth!! These animals are left unattended in cement cages for 14 hours a day, 5PM to 8AM. They may get an outside break for a total of 20 minutes a day, at times this doesn't happen as the staff may "run out of time" keep in mind they will NEVER miss a smoke break. There is constant barking and loud noises throughout the day, aggressive dogs are not muzzled and certain dogs who are visibly shaking are not given extra attention or care for their fear and anxiety. Additionally, when a well intending person pays extra $ for their pet to receive extra playtime, it will be too much of a burden for the staff, yet it gets marked down as a provided service. Please consider leaving your dog in its known environment and hire a person to check on and actually care for your pet. I have personally used WAG before and I have had great success.
I should have read more of these reviews. We took our pup there twice to be socialized, both times he came home stressed and nauseous not having spent any time with other dogs and the excuse of "maybe next time." I want to believe they are spending time with my pup but suspect he's spending the day stressing in a kennel, taken out only occasionally to relieve himself. There won't be a "maybe next time." Not a good fit for us and if you want your dog socialized I recomend you look elsewhere as well.
Two stars for the facility being nice & clean. Minus 3 stars for our fur baby being locked in a kennel majority of the time during his stay. Please pay the extra $5-$10 to take your pet to a daycare that is prison free. (Not Locked in a kennel) my dog cried the whole way home & slept with us because he was so distraught. I wouldn’t recommend this place for social dogs.

We receive daily email photo updates along with thorough, detailed reports while we are gone. Totally Tails Pet Care Services has provided excellent, caring and reliable dog walking/pet care five days a week for the last year for our two Golden Retrievers (our dogs are now one year old and nine years old). Our family is so impressed with the level of service and professionalism provided by Totally Tails Pet Care! I highly recommend them! The daily pictures of our pets, which they email us, are just the best. It is so reassuring to know that our furry family members are well cared for while we are at work.
I hired Totally Tails to watch after my 2 dogs while I was on vacation in Hawaii. I knew I didn’t want to kennel them, so I was excited about someone coming to my home to feed, exercise, and care for my pups. Not only do they do a fantastic job of exercising the dogs they sent DAILY photos and follow-ups of their health and progress. These reports made me feel very comfortable with Totally Tails. They also rotated indoor lighting so as to give the impression that someone is always home. Superb service! Beats kenneling when your pups are in their home environment. I will contract with them again!

This was the best pet care service we have ever experienced. An excellent value. The daily 30-minute visit was packed with focused attention to our cat's specific needs: food, medication, daily litter box cleaning, brushing, play time with treats, supervised outdoor deck time (indoor cat), and loving lap petting time. We received a daily review with pictures that served as both comfort and joy to us while we were away. Absolutely reliable. Knowledgeable about animal care. Loving and attentive. Professional. Responsible. Attentive to detail. Michele made sure we provided for unanticipated problems prior to leaving so our bases were covered in any event. THE BEST. We came home to a calm, happy, well cared for cat.
As fellow pet care providers we are quite picky who we leave our pack with should we go out of town. Ramona took care of a large zoo of animals (game birds, fish, Guinea pigs, and dogs). Her updates were thorough, and we came home to a clean house and happy animals. If you need a professional you can trust, you've found one here. Part of why we never leave town is not having had anyone we felt comfortable leaving them with, but now we do!
I love Michelle! We trust her implicitly with our dog and home. She goes above and beyond by bringing in our trash cans and packages when she's at our home for a dog visit. She sends us texts and pictures of our dog so we know she's taken care of. And she insists you text her that you're back home so she's assured your pet is safe. That's excellent care! Highly recommend her!

I was stressed, four sorta feral cats and I had to take a trip. My vet said boarding was a bad idea because none of them would adjust well - in addition to being expensive. Camano Pet Sitters to the rescue! Not only did they do a professional job I think they made headway with my cats who were actually peeking out at them by the end of the week. I cannot recommend Camano Pet Sitters highly enough - they are now my go to folks when I have to travel. My neighbors, who travel regularly, were so impressed by the level of professionalism and caring my pets received they will be switching to Camano Pet Sitters.

Sooo yeah, we have a little 7 pound ball of fury. He HATED best friends when they did grooming, not exactly sure why. He had to be sedated so his cut was $175. Fast forward to Jenn’s. She has a way with him, and simply trims and washes him perfectly for an incredibly reasonable price. The doggie daycare area seems cool and the pooches seemed to be living it from my vantage point. Bottom line, if she starts taking new clients, GET THERE!
Jenn is the best! My dogs hate spa day, but they always look amazing when they come out. She is a real dog lover and it shows!!!

There is no other person I feel more comfortable leaving my Rosie with. My rescue dog is super anxious and insecure and can be a lot to handle. The first time we had Monika watch her was a time Rosie’s familiar people (grandparents, aunts, friends) were not able to watch her and I myself was nervous about it. Within hours of Rosie being with Monika, I was instantly calmed and comfortable. I voiced my concerns when Monika picked Rosie up, and Monika made sure to communicate often with me. It’s as if Monika and her pups have magical powers because I could tell in all photos and videos how happy (and calm) Rosie was to be there. A true vacation for her. Something as simple as happy leash walks with a group of pups (Rosie is normally not friendly on leash). Now every time we go on vacation, there is no second thought to where Rosie will go. Every time she is with Monika she is making new friends, going on new adventures, and comes home a well mannered and tired dog! Not to mention, Monika’s pickup and dropoff service is a dream!!! I can’t thank Monika and her pups (especially Piglet) enough! Rosie already can’t wait for her next vacation!
Monika is absolutely amazing!! Our 5 month old Lab pup (Vincent) stayed with her for 10 days while we took a vacation to Hawaii. From the first meet up he totally adored her (as did we!). She is a fantastic communicator, sends lots of updates, photos & videos throughout her time with your pup. Monika provides a true vacation for your dog so you can fully enjoy your vacation with no worries!! She picks up from your home (so convenient!!), takes the dogs to a beautiful dog park on Whidbey Island every day if weather allows & treats your pup like he is her own. She truly goes above & beyond giving the dogs so much love, they play all day long so sleep amazingly well when they come home. We are thrilled that we found Monika & are highly recommending her to every dog owner we know! Thank you for taking amazing care of Vin, he can’t wait to see you again soon 🐶💗🐾

Smarter Than Your Dog provided last minute boarding so that we could coordinate and attend a quickly pulled together wedding for a family member. It was a bit of a scramble but Kelly accommodated my continually changing schedule and provided excellent care for our dog who has, in the past, only stayed with family members. I was sent emails, pictures and a report card explaining how she was doing! I highly recommend Smarter Than Your Dog and and so appreciate how well our sweet pup was cared for in our absence. We had a family emergency and found ourselves needing to board our dog. Our sweet, but shy, rescue pup had not previously been boarded before. I was nervous but each staff member I encountered from our meet and greet, dropping off, and picking up at STYD was so kind and understanding. I felt like they truly cared about the well-being of our dog and calming my nerves. I would definitely recommend their boarding services.

My puppy is super excited to spend the day with “his pack”, I get piece of mind knowing he’s well taken care of and he’s all tuckered out at the end of the day. They do an exceptional job, especially in these unusual times, balancing friendly customer service and high quality experience with solid health and safety protocols.
I have 2 whippet puppies and started taking them to day care as soon as they were old enough. STYD did a wonderful job of assessing their needs and aligning them with a pack that would work best for them. I just went on a trip for my son’s wedding and we boarded the puppies for the first time. I was able to enjoy the trip because of the fabulous care and communication they provided. I called everyday and they were so understanding. They also provided report cards on how they were doing with pictures. Every person I’ve interacted with at STYD has been fabulous. This is the only place I would trust with my puppies. Before the puppies I use to take my greyhound to STYD. Unfortunately he passed away. So my comments with STYD has been for the care they provided for 2 years, first with a mature greyhound and now the puppies.
I took my Rough Coat Collie in to be groomed today. We have never been there before (our previous groomer passed away). She looks STUNNING! She needed quite a bit of work done- the staff was non judgmental, kind, caring, and compassionate. I'm so thankful for the wonderful job they did, and I'm so fortunate to have found a team of amazing people to take care of my sweet girl.
We have been taking Sunshine to Smarter than your Dog since she was a about 5 months old. We are first time dog owners and on a whim we stopped in there one day to see what it was about. The staff is wonderful. They loved Sunny instantly and it was the start of something beautiful. Over a year later and Sunny goes to camp every Monday. And she will tell you what day it is, Monday's are her favorite! She comes home at the end of it and puts herself to bed- she gets so exhausted from running with her pack! We love Smarter than your Dog. It gives our girl the chance to just dog-out. I trust the staff and love how much they love the dogs. As a bonus, we can get her nails done whenever she needs them trimmed-rhe onsite groomer makes life so easy!! I will say, that I am likely the random person who saw you walking your pup and recommended this business. I make a point of it because they have been so good for our dog. Try it out, can't hurt and your dog may love you even more!!
The groomers at Smarter than your Dog were really great, working us into their schedule and giving our two dogs one of the best nail trim & grinds they've ever had. We also very happy with STYD's emphasis on health and safety of the dogs and people. Thank you! We will be back!
I have been bringing my dog Luke to STYD for a year now. I really appreciated how Kelly took the time to figure out what days Luke would mix well with the other dogs due to their individual personalities. Luke LOVES going to daycare and he leaves tired every time. The staff communicates well with me should they notice anything out if the ordinary in Luke’s behavior or if there is anything I need to keep an eye on. It is a great feeling to be able to leave Luke and never worry about him. I know that he is being well taken care of by the staff and he’s having a great time playing with his four legged friends! We are moving soon and STYD has set the bar very high for me to find another place for Luke.
The best thing about Puget Hounds is that my dearest dog, Jake, loves to go there. He gets his hugs and love from the lovely people who work there. He has his regular dog friends. It is a second home to him. He is safe, he is fed to my directions. It is a great place for a dog and a great business to work with for a dog’s owner.
My dog Mady seems to love all of your staff. I believe that he has a good time playing with the other dogs. I was so impressed with Amber on your staff. I am handicapped and I was fearful that my dog could get out when someone opened the front dog if he was not tight on his leash. Amber helped me put his leash and harness on. She was so thoughtful and kind. Mady is only ten months old. He is a lot for me to handle with my osteoarthritis, but no one could love him more dearly and give him a better home than me. He needs the socialization at Puget Hound that I cannot give him at home.
Earlier this year we got our pup Luna signed up. She loves going to daycare! She has made great friends and it always excited when we drop her off. She comes home tired from a day full of play. The staff are very friendly.

Our lab Bode has been going to Puget Hound since March and so far he's loving it! It was unnerving sending my fur-baby off to daycare for the first time, but the staff at Puget Hound have been very responsive to any questions or concerns that come up. I would like to give a special thanks to Abby & Riley. Abby did our initial questionnaire for his temperament test and was super reassuring throughout the process (this helped me feel like he was in good hands!) Upon drop off/pick up, Riley always has a smile on her face and (today specifically) was prompt in relaying Bode's first photos and report with me - I'm so grateful. Bandit has been going to Puget for over two years now. Not only does it give him an opportunity to run and play all day, it gives him time to interact with the other pups, which is a good thing for him. The staff are great. They clean him up on the wet days, and the always have him ready when it's time to go home. Having him somewhere that they show they care about him as much as we do is important.
Puget hound has been such a god send for me! I work from home and am always looking for an opportunity to get my little Rosie the chance to play while I’m typing away. The staff here has always fostered a fun, safe, and seamless environment for Rosie to have the best time! She has made so many friends and always comes home ready to sleep for days! My dog Monty absolutely loves it here! He can't wait to go "play with doggies" as I tell him! The staff is so helpful, attentive, and really love the dogs, and you can really tell the dogs are having fun too. I love that he gets indoor and outdoor play time and comes home tired at the end of the day. I haven't used their boarding yet, but I would feel totally safe leaving Monty with The Puget Hound for any length of time. As a very protective dog parent, having someplace that I can safely leave my pup for the day while I run errands, work, or do whatever needs to be done is priceless. I'm so happy I found Puget Hound and recommend them to anyone!!
recently in the area and required dog daycare for my dog. Puget hound was absolutely amazing with accommodating my need and took him for the afternoon. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and friendliness of the staff. Great service and my dog seemed to have a good afternoon there
