Gail and John are lovely and their property is beautiful and set in fantastic grounds with views to the Severn Valley Steam railway. During the day we would hear the whistle and go and see which train was passing by. Their three cats, Merlin, Cloe and Snowy were a delight to look after and very friendly. The guest bedroom had its own en suite and we really enjoyed our 3 week stay in 'the country' but not far from Kidderminster and the surrounding places of interest. We kept in touch with Gail and John by email and can highly recommend them and their house/pet sit to anyone.
Alison is one of the kindest, warmest, most thoughtful hosts you could think to meet. She is so easy going and friendly, going out of her way to make my stay a great experience. So many little touches that were truly appreciated. She is prompt and thorough to communicate with, and has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Her home is perfectly situated in a very nice neighbourhood with great access to all forms of public transport to get around this amazing city. As for Millie, what can one say? She is the world’s most perfect cat. Traditionally being more a dog person, I really don’t make that statement lightly. She looks and acts like a cat from a commercial. She’s very affectionate, very playful, very cute, and very low maintenance. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion and I was so sad having to say goodbye to her. She has a straight forward, easy routine and she barely malts any hair. She enjoys playtime, strokes, snuggles and of course sunbathing. I flew across the continent to try this sit and explore Baltimore and it couldn’t have been more worth it. With Alison and Millie you get absolutely everything you could want in an adventure. A superb host, with an amazing loveable companion, in a beautiful and comfortable home, situated in an excellent location. I’m so grateful Alison chose me to sit for Millie and I wouldn’t hesitate to travel all the way back to do it all over again. The only regret I have is not taking Millie out in her car stroller to show her off. Thank you Alison. Should you ever want to visit Vancouver Island, you 100% have a place to stay.
It was a joy caring for Willow! In addition to being super adorable, she’s a very smart and easy-going dog who travels very well. All of those things mattered during the sit as I was helping Janusz get her back to normalcy with her potty training. For example, during this period, she needed walks every 3-4 hours and would communicate if, after having been walked, there was more time outside needed before heading back in. Being a NYer myself, there were times when I needed to be out and about in the city. Taking her with me was never a problem. She’s a heartwarming dog who is really a joy to spend time with and care for. On the home front, it was great working with Janusz! He set her and I up for success with VERY detailed instructions and also a welcoming environment for the stay. As a result, I didn’t need to look for key items (a towel, her food, her toys, miscellaneous necessities). His instructions made it super easy to adhered to her training as well (for example, there is a routine she goes through to indicate a walk is about to happen - knowing the routine helps her follow along and signal she’s ready). I would sit for Janusz again in a heartbeat if ever I there were a need while I’m in NYC and can highly recommend applying to sit for him if you see he has a need.
I had a wonderful stay with Berne and Lucy! They are really sweet companions. Berne has such a gentle soul in a huge body! He also checked on me when we had walks or I was in rooms. We had the most enjoyable walks on the paths to Vocalnos! Lucy enjoyed being in my arms even when we first met. He lay beside me on the sofa or in my bed when the weather was not nice. When it was sunny, he spent most days out for his adventures. I already miss them! Estefi has been the most welcoming and fabulous host! She picked me up from the airport and drove me around for grocery shopping and enjoying the amazing views among the volcanos. During the stay she really cared about whether I enjoyed my stay and was always there to offer help. I could not thank her enough for her kindness and the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful stay! The house is located on a side of a small village surrounded by volcanoes and a wine yard. The views are astonishing! I had never been immersed in such wilderness. This has definitely been the most unique house I have ever stayed in! I highly recommend this sitting opportunity to anyone who would like a taste of life among volcanos and be able to take some care of Berne considering his age.
Thank you Sarah for a great weekend in Renton. Ai and Mei Mei are two fun dogs and so easy to care for. Ai loves to play and Mei Mei is incredibly sweet and just loves belly rubs and cuddling on the couch. Sarah made this sit very easy. We did not meet in person but she gave us clear instructions for the dogs and was easy to communicate with before and during the sit. Sarah's home was clean and comfortable with a great deck, yard and location. The neighborhood felt incredibly safe and was very walkable. For running, biking or hiking the house was in a good spot close to trails. The Lake Youngs trail was less than half mile away and Echo peak trails were within a mile and a half. This was a great opportunity to see a new part of Washington and have fun dogs to hang out with for the weekend. thanks again!
This was an ideal housesit! Tisha is friendly, a good communicator, and an overall cool person. She had me set up with everything I needed for a successful and enjoyable stay. And Jojo is an absolute doll! He’s well-behaved and the smartest and sweetest boy. He’ll win your heart instantly! Tisha’s home is lovely and is located in a charming part of San Francisco (that I had never explored before). The nearby park seems to go on forever! It was fun taking Jojo out on his daily walkies, especially as he’s really good with other doggos. I hope I get a chance to come back to housesit for Tisha and Jojo again!
