We all loved Dylan, especially our two cats. Dylan was respectful, lovely gentleman in the true sense of the word. Calm with the cats and reliable - Dylan kept us informed each day and alerted us when our Boy Cat took off for a night. Dylan was great for letting us know. We were able to give Dylan instructions how to attract Zippy back by clanking a plate and calling him for at least 5 mins - which he did and Zippy came home and then left again!!! Each experience with zeewoi renews our faith in the TH system and how well it works. Megan and Chris have only served to push that sense of trust and confidence a good bit further up the road. We’ve found that the best we can hope for is a sitter or a couple that can both a) handle the technical aspects of operating a home in a rural setting and b) attending to the needs of the animal family with the understanding and love to which they are accustomed. Megan and Chris were five-star performers in both categories. This was our longest absence from home base and our animal family, and we were concerned that we would be able to find a sitter(s) who would be willing to take on 5 winter weeks of walking dogs for 30 minutes, twice per day, over 20 acres of wooded trails - often in snowshoes. Fortunately, Megan and Chris were more than up to the task. At the risk of sounding too analytical about the house/pet sitting requirement, we would have to say that this young couple approaches the task with a combination of personal warmth and managerial skill that leaves you with the unmistakable impression that they are truly “professionals” at performing the responsibilities before them. While they are in fact, both professionals in their chosen disciplines and work via WIFI while on the road, they bring the same approach to their “sitting” mission. They are intelligent, independent and clearly devoted to the care of the animals. To wit: they travel with their own set of grooming brushes, and clippers, though they only proceeded to a bathing and grooming undertaking after emailing us for permission. Upon returning home, the animals continued to gravitate toward Megan and Chris, a sure sign of the affectionate bonding. At our request, they stayed with us for two nights after we had returned home, before heading off to their next sitting assignment. During this period, they made us dinner – complete with respecting our dietary preferences. It was excellent. Additionally, they attended to the routine demands of the house proper, changing filters, mail collection, interacting with our periodic maintenance professionals visiting by pre-arranged contract, attending to walkway snow removal and even attending our bird feeders. Upon our return, they picked us up at the airport at 1:30 AM after a delayed flight, thereby reprising their role of driving us to the airport at 3 AM when we originally departed. There were zero deficiencies in their performance, and we would invite them back again in a heartbeat. These are precisely the kind of people you want and we could not have asked for more.
