Priscilla was prompt in arriving for her sit and her communication. I was to be away for 9 days and on day 2 there seemed to be problems. My dog loves all people and I was told she would not go downstairs (she is always the first down) and would not go outside (she adores being outside). On day 3 I was getting uncomfortable so I suggested that I try to find someone else to take my dog for the remainder of the sit which is what Priscilla seemed to want. Priscilla left my house and the sit with the key on the table before I had confirmed that I found another sitter which equals abandonment. Luckily a family member of mine took my dog for the last 6.5 days of the sit and she had a key to get into the house.
I had such a wonderful time looking after Mr. Mac over this two week long sit! He is such a love bug. Mr. Mac is an independent cat but he also enjoys lots of snuggles. Pat and Loren are very kind and generous people who made sure I had everything I needed to feel comfortable. They have a beautiful house with plenty of nearby trails. Their neighborhood is very safe and quiet which made for a peaceful stay. I would return and recommend this sit with no hesitation.
We had such a lovely time while looking after Blue, Ginny and Taffy in Jane’s beautiful home. Jane’s communication was excellent and she made sure that we had everything we needed before we started. She showed us such welcoming hospitality and we would gladly sit for this family again in the future. As for the pets, we miss them so dearly! The three of them have such individual personalities and were a joy to be around. Thanks for trusting us with your beautiful three, Jane!
Hi If you get the chance to do this sit you are in for a treat. Poppy is one of the sweetest dogs we have looked after, easy to walk and lovely to cuddle. Karen and Paul were very welcoming and their house is perfect. They have a lovely garden to explore and in a beautiful location with many walks on your doorstep and not far from Guildford. Their house has all the amenities you need and the aga in the kitchen is cosy in the winter. We would definitely go back if we got the chance. 😁
Everything about the sit for Phil was wonderful. Ben is a sweet dog who was easy to care for and no trouble at all. There are many walks in the area on which to take Ben, but his favorite place is Bull’s Head pub. Youlgrave is a small interesting village with all basic needs met, including a medical center. Of all the sits we have done, it is our favorite village. Bus service goes several times a day making getting to Bakewell etc. easy if needed. Phil and Diane are lovely people, very generous and easy going. Phil communicated well and even picked us up in Sheffield and dropped us off near Manchester. He gave us each a fabulous haircut! We could not have asked for a better sit so this a highly recommended one.
A spacious & bright apartment with great views over Lake Geneva & the mountains beyond. Lala is lovely, he was very loving, affectionate & playful, he loved belly rubs, lap sitting & playing fetch. Sarah & Robert were friendly & helpful, they made me dinner & breakfast & gave me tips on places to see. The apartment is very close to supermarkets & public transport, bus & metro, it was easy getting into the city centre of Lausanne & the lakeside. (There is also a nearby gorge with a babbling river a short walk away which is pretty.) The trains in Switzerland are very good (some are triple deckers!) so it is easy to travel around for day trips to Geneva and the lakeside towns such as Evian (via ferry) & Montreux. I recommend the Golden Pass railway from Montreux that takes you up into the mountains with awesome views, that goes to lovely mountain villages such as Gruyères & Gstaad. It is expensive (of course, everyone knows Switzerland is expensive) so get the Regional Pass for 5 or 7 days from the ticket office which saves a lot of money.
Audrey was amazing host and communicated throughout the sit. I would definitely stay with Sonny and rook again!
