We were thrilled to have Chandra watch our two pups during our holiday vacation. She communicated well, kept us updated on the dogs, and kept our house in great condition. We highly recommend her and would be happy to welcome her back anytime!
I am so happy that Carol chose me to housesit with Mya. From the start, Carol stayed in good touch and it was easy to communicate with her. She helped me with planning my arrival. As she had a very early start the following day, she stayed with friends near the airport but not before driving me around to show me the village’s useful locations and Mya’s favourite places to explore and swim. She left me her new car to use while she was away and this was very much appreciated. She is an interesting woman and it was a pleasure to meet her and share life stories. Her comfortable apartment has a terrace out front and a small garden out back, with areas in which to relax and plenty of room to dry laundry. It is in a small village with several nice restaurants and cafes. Carol left information on places to go and things to do. I enjoyed the meals out and especially loved the pizza and salad at Il Coppale. Mya was a perfect gem when we went there and afterwards she enjoyed a swim in the lake, which the restaurant overlooked. Speaking of Mya, what a wonderful dog she is. On the rare occasion when I went out alone she was always on the couch looking out the window awaiting my return. She is respectful and gentle and is all around a perfect companion. She walks well both on and off the lead. In the evening she was happy to sit by my side and later cuddled up next to me in bed. What a delightful dog! All in all, this is a great place to housesit. I would welcome the opportunity to return and recommend it highly.
A super-fun furry family. From the moment we all got going at 7am to the time for bed, they kept me smiling, laughing, and feeling happy. Kate’s house is so comfy and the bed is nice and comfortable.
What a super week in Lewes! We met Michaela & Andy, several days before the sit, and collected the keys. Therefore, we knew we were going to a fabulous clean and tidy home. The house was left just perfect for us, and the cosy bedroom had plenty of space in the wardrobe for our gear too. Comfy mattress, hot shower, and reading light a bonus. There’s a gorgeous private garden and deck for sitting if the weather is fine. The furry friends are both healthy and pretty chilled out. Spike is more gregarious, and flopped onto my lap 5 minutes after my arrival. Ned is a little more sensitive and cautious, but he soon settled and accepted our presence. They were no trouble at all, and had the cat flap for coming and going. The house is conveniently located in a very nice, quiet neighbourhood, away from the hustle and bustle of town, but less than 15 minutes walk and you meet the shops. The railway station is about a 20 minute walk. Lewes is surrounded by beautiful countryside, so is marvellous for hikers. You can be up a hill with wide open views, right from the front door, in 10 minutes. Lewes also has antiques, plenty of independent shops and cafes, and a very arty vibe. There are some brilliant markets to visit, on certain days. It was a lovely stay. Thank you Michaela & Andy, for trusting us with you home and fur kids.
I enjoyed my stay at Kates. The apartment is really handy to trams, supermarket, shopping and everything else needed. Lovely views and morning sun. The apartment has everything needed, lovely art on the walls, and it's both comfortable and homely. Kate left a comprehensive document with all possible info I could need, including emergency, vets, back-up if needed etc. Pickle and Monkey are a delight, although Pickle took some time to emerge from his retreat (He's very wary) All in all a great Housesit.
Loved minding little Percy in Catherine and Frank’s lovely home :) He is a little pet and he is so low maintenance.. The house itself is beautiful and stylish and has cozy little snugs too with wood burning stoves .. the perfect home in the countryside with fermoy and cork not a million miles away !! Thanks for letting me stay with Percy in your lovely rural piece of heaven Fiona
Wonderful sit with great hosts, a great pet and a great home. Bagels is a sweet pup who loves attention and a good walk. MaryKatherine left very detailed instructions before the sit and was easy to communicate with during the sit. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and you’ll probably bump into people who recognize Bagels. I’d happily sit for this family again!
