Queen of the Valley is a top notch doggy daycare and boarding facility. My dog loves to play with other dogs in a safe and supervised environment which Queen of the Valley provides. It's so nice knowing you can go on vacation and your furry friend will be well taken care of. 5 stars!
I have a selectively reactive dog and Queen of the Valley is willing to work with me on her care. They always take great care of my dog when she’s boarding. Ian’s a great guy and has an awesome team behind him.
Beyond grateful to have found such a wonderful boarding facility. It is so nice to know our boy is in good hands while we are away and never have to worry. The staffs communication and friendliness always puts us at ease. This place is incredibly well managed. Thank you!!!
Picked up a very happy grand pup from this pet resort! Everyone was very friendly, very clean establishment, and most importantly, our dog was happy and well cared for!
We are so happy with our experience at Queen of the Valley. Our dog had previously struggled at another local boarding center/daycare due to his anxiety, but Queen of the Valley was great at including him in small groups and helping him ease into the experience. They encouraged us to text to check in, and they even sent some pictures of him having fun. It makes going away so much easier knowing that he now has a place that is so supportive of him.
My dog always has a wonderful time playing at daycare. All of the employees really LOVE dogs and it shows! Never had a bad experience. It's a lovely open space for my dog to run around and burn her energy off. Wish I could bring her everyday.
I am so glad I choose to bring my dog here for boarding. The staff are knowledgeable with pets that have anxiety. My little girl had a great time. I also had a good time knowing that she was in great hands. All the staff, have been so caring, friendly, and loving. Thank you!!
This is probably the best boarding facility we have ever been to. We have boarded our dogs at dozens of places across the country and this one takes the cake. The dogs are cared for, given needed attention, and stay outside to play with others for most of their stay. The play areas are large and split into a few areas for larger or smaller dogs. We like to call it ‘The Farm’. They are taken into their kennel together to sleep. Facilities are beautiful, clean, and built for the best dog experience. We drive up from NYC specifically to take our pups here. ( 7y/o 80lb lab, 6y/o 75lb golden retriever on first stay and ongoing 2 years)
We are so happy we found Queen of the Valley Farm. The staff is very friendly and responsive and our puppy loves it there. He is so excited when we drop him off and sufficiently tired after he’s spent the day playing. An added bonus of the turf play yard is he isn’t filthy when we pick him up. Great place!
I don’t think there is a better staff or a nicer place for dogs to play. Everyone we come in contact with is great and a sure sign of how the dogs are treated is evidenced but the way they jump out of the car eager to play. There is never any hesitation from our dog - a sure sign that he loves to play, and knows that all the staff are nice to him and he is in a safe place. In addition, the large well maintained outside play areas and the barn where the dogs can go in extreme cold or bad weather are all great! We cannot imagine taking our dog anywhere else.
I took my dog for 6 hrs part time day care. They do not appear to have a place for dogs to run and play, but a fence enclosure with gravel. The 3rd day Annie had a small bowl movement. It was a nervous prompted action. I never took her back after that. Obviously. She was nervous being there. I question the validity of this stellar reviews. I also did a earth view and saw 2 small enclosures which is what I saw when I walked back with staff.
I’ve used pet hotels in the past so I was really taken aback at the conditions of the kennels. I felt like I was dropping my dog at the ASPCA shelter. When I picked them up, one bag of raw was completely gone, the other was only partially used. I could tell my one dog was given the wrong type of raw food. He had horrible diarrhea when I got him home and then my other dog had horrible diarrhea. My dogs never have tummy problems. I will never be boarding here ever again. My dogs are never sick and they had horrible stomach problems.i was very specific on my one dog, having only a certain type of raw, And provided two bags One for each totally different kinds. It was extremely loud all the dogs were super close together with chain-link In between. We just bought a house there, and had not had a chance to review the facility before hand I only went by the pictures and inside of the kennels were not shown So I didn’t get to see them until the day we dropped them. I had anxiety the entire trip over, leaving my dogs there. As soon as we picked them up and got home, they both had explosive No way they were having normal stools the four days they were there. I will never be recommending this place or using these facilities ever
I have boarded my dogs with Acorn Valley many times. They have great availability and their prices are reasonable. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and really seems to care about the welfare of their furry guests 😉 …
This is the first time we’ve used Acorn Valley and we are definitely impressed! Very professional staff and it was immediately apparent that they would make sure my dog got the best care they could give. Way, WAY better than the other kennels in the area. We’ll be boarding our dog at Acorn Valley from now on.
Great spot to board your pet. Our dog is very skittish but they always do a good job with her. They also handle her food well.
The rescues I'm involved with recently started using this facility and we've been impressed. They're further than we would typically go, but they allow our volunteers to come and work with our dogs in addition to their staff handling them. They are kind, thoughtful and invested in the well being of our pups. We have been incredibly happy with their services and are thankful that a facility with such wonderful staff exists!
Acorn Valley is wonderful for both boarding and grooming! The staff is amazing and always takes such great care of my dog. The facility is very clean and safe for the the animals in their care! My dog gets regular grooming done and she always looks fantastic! Prices are very reasonable but more than that you can be rest assured that your pet, from dogs to cats to bunnies, birds and others will be well taken care of! Highly recommend!
The staff at Acorn Valley are incredible. We were nervous to leave our stranger-fearful adopted dog for the first time. We had received a recommendation from a trusted trainer and behaviorist for Acorn Valley so we went for a tour. Every single person we spoke with made us feel at ease. The staff are all clearly animal lovers with lots of experience. We left our little guy for 6 days and 7 nights. We received email updates with photos which helped us relax on our vacation knowing that he was OK. He even made his first human friend outside of the family (Sam, you're so kind and patient- we love this photo of you guys)!!!! He was also able to play with all of the other dogs every day which made it like a little vacation for him too :) Thank you all SO MUCH! We are so grateful that your facility exists!!!
We boarded our very senior cat with them who was just subscribed hyperthyroid meds. They took such good care of her and didn't mind our "check in" phone calls to see how she was doing.
I took my 2 healthy dogs here for boarding on July 26, 2023. When we picked them up on July 30, they were in bad shape. I have never had my dogs come home smelling the way they smelled after this visit. We gave them a bath before letting them in the house. My older dog had an infection in both eyes, almost sealing them shut. I realize this facility is not a veterinarian, however, a phone call to let me know there was a problem would have been appreciated. That was just the start of the problem. My older dog was mopey and continued to deteriorate after this stay. She developed internal bleeding from unknown causes, this could have been a tumor, but it also could have been trauma, we will never know. She passed away on August 9. She had a vet visit on July 14 at which the doctor noted her outstanding health for a 10 year old dog. I feel strongly they were mistreated by the kennel staff and I would not recommend this facility to anyone. We have taken our dogs here for several years, but I most certainly will NOT be returning. NOTE: I could not post this review without giving at least one star, otherwise I would not have given any stars.
