Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Trisha's townhouse in Vancouver and with her beautiful dog, Chloe. Chloe has an excellent temperament and was great with my kids. She has a very easy going nature and was a pleasure to walk with and take around with us when we were out and about. Trisha has a beautiful home and it provided us with everything we needed for our stay and made us feel at home. It is well situated and close to the C-train for downtown Calgary and local grocery stores and mall. Plenty of places to walk Chloe near by too. We were able to visit Banff and Lake Louise from here. I would definitely recommend this sit. Trisha was very easy to work with too.
Our initial interactions with Lisa were positive, and we thoroughly enjoyed caring for Mason & Marley. The house is in a great location with views of the Gannel. We had a last minute 45 minute videocall as the handover and we weren't aware that the welcome guide, which we always use to refer back to, hadn't been updated. Therefore, when using the welcome guide to refer back to on any aspects we weren't 100% sure on throughout the sit, some information was incorrect, which led to some miscommunication and Lisa messaged us after the sit to say a plant in the bathroom had died. We only ever want house owners to be completely happy with a sit, therefore we offered to replace the plant to rectify this oversight, and whilst Lisa initially seemed happy with our response, she unexpectedly canceled a future sit last minute. This has left us without accommodation and put us in a difficult situation. The house is in a great location and cats are lovely, we just think this shows the importance of a thorough handover document when there are various responsibilities!
Had a wonderful sit with Molly and Ella, who were completely loveable and as good as gold. Emma and John were really clear with arrangements, were warm and welcoming. We had a fantastic time walking along the coast on the Cleveland Way. Thank you again all for a wonderful weekend :-) xxxx
It was a very easy going sit hanging with Bubba, Archie and Finn …. And the Fishies. They are the sweetest kitties with their own independent personalities. Cuddles were available when they realized that I would happily give scratches and rubs all day. Kristie was lovely in making sure that everything that I could ever want for was provided. Location was very quiet and neighbours are super friendly. And Todd was very sweet accepting my daily pictorial updates. All in all - A lovely weekend with well behaved kids.
Kuda is super sweet and friendly kitty. He enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching for birds, chasing his favorite toy around the apartment, and getting brushed on the bed. His fur is so soft! Thankfully Stephanie showed me around her building so I wouldn't get confused because there are several hallways. But once you know where you're going, it's all good. Her instructions were easy to follow and she was accessible the entire time. I loved the uptown location; it's very walkable to restaurants, Whole Foods, and greenway trails. This is city living in an apartment building. There are sirens and trains outside and noise from neighbors. It should be somewhat expected as part of the atmosphere.
I had such a great time here with the sweetest little dogs! Birdy is an energetic, playful, super cuddly goofball and Lambchop is a chillaxed, adorable, floofy darling. Communication with the host was reliable and fast. Their instructional guide (and the in person walk-though) was incredibly clear and detailed so I never felt uncertain about what was expected. This was especially helpful for Lambchop who needs regular medication and frequent feeding. John and Kristin’s apartment is very comfortable, hip, bright, and colorful and I am totally inspired by their awesome customizable, mood light system. I believe they are moving slightly north very soon so I won’t comment on the immediate neighborhood and building, but the general area (south of Prospect Park) is very pleasant and filled with great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, tree-lined streets and pockets of blocks filled with grand Victorian era homes. It’s out of the tourist and nightlife zones you will see in most travel guidebooks and blogs, which I think would appeal to sitters who prefer a somewhat calm spot to retreat to after an action-packed day or who would like a more under the radar view into Brooklyn. All in all, highly recommended!
