I was really hoping for a smooth experience with Duncan's pet care, and while Duncan seems like a nice person, there were several issues when I returned home that I feel need to be addressed. First, I explicitly stated that I did not want guests in my home, but my neighbor—who, while being a bit nosey, is generally helpful—mentioned that Duncan had someone over without my knowledge. This was quite concerning, as respecting my home and rules is important to me. Secondly, the cleanliness of the kitchen was not up to par. When I returned, I found sticky substances on the counters, around the sink, and residue left on the stove. Additionally, two pots stored in the cabinet were stained with what appeared to be the same food residue that was on the stove – one was my cast iron skillet. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when providing care, and this left me disappointed. The most disturbing issue, however, was the handling of the litter box. I had to throw away my broom and dustpan because they had been used to clean up cat waste that didn’t make it into the LitterBot because it was stuck in a cycle. It was clear that one of my cats was forced to relieve themselves outside of the litter box, and the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. Finally, Duncan notified me of a broken doorknob, which I had to report to maintenance. I later found out that it appeared to have been pulled off rather than being worn down by normal use as I assumed when I received the text. While I’m not sure how this happened, it was just another frustrating issue on top of everything else. I'm generally not picky and try to be understanding, but these problems left me disappointed with the care provided. I hope Duncan takes this feedback constructively and improves these areas for future clients.

Dawn
We thoroughly enjoyed our sit with Courtney and her friend Ellie. We are so grateful to Dawn and Jeff for welcoming our dog Trazer on his first pet sit with us. Jeff and Dawn were extremely generous and gracious and we enjoyed the enthusiasm of their children for meeting Trazer - they gave him special attention. The three dogs formed a pack quickly and were so good with each other. The home is immaculate and comfortable, the neighborhood is friendly and extremely walkable with shops and a grocery while remaining quiet and peaceful. A pretty easy drive to the Charleston historic district and other sites. We really enjoyed the cozy gas fireplace, and the wonderful kitchen. The bed in the FROG was very comfortable. Put this one on your favorites list, fellow sitters!

Sarah
This was our first sit and it was an ideal experience. Sarah was a great communicator. She perfectly described Dakota’s personality and habits, instructions for his care and where everything could be found in the apartment and the surrounding community-dog parks, cafés and restaurants. As for Dakota, he was wonderful. He has such a sweet personality and I enjoyed our morning walks along the promenade, our daily visits to the dog parks and playing tug with him. We took him with us several times when we went out to eat and he was such a good boy patiently sitting or sleeping while we ate and he was a hit with the wait staff and other customers. We would gladly sit for Sarah and Dakota again!

Alec
It was so wonderful to stay at Alec's place and sit for Fran! Such a perfect location, super convenient being close to public transit, and a lovely apartment to stay in while exploring Chicago. Fran is truly the sweetest, I already miss her! Alec is great to communicate with and a very thoughtful host. 10/10 would recommend this stay to anyone!

Stephen
What a remarkable pet/house sit! Francois is a delightful cat. He is the friendliest cat we have ever taken care of. He’s also extremely easy since he has a water fountain, an automatic feeder, and a cat door. He loves to sit on your lap and roam outside. Steve is welcoming and leaves clear instructions. The house is lovely, with a fully appointed kitchen, lots of light, comfortable bed, huge deck with great patio furniture, ensconced in the woods, close to great hiking trails, at the foot of Fitch Mountain, and steps from the Russian River. To top it off, the Healdsburg area is an international location for good reasons: great dining, boutique stores, charming central plaza, lots of wine tasting, and gorgeous natural beauty. You cannot go wrong with this house/pet sit.

Cathy and Dave
This was our first Sit and it turned out so great. Cathy and Dave were super lovely and gave us all the information we needed to take care of Rocky. They gave us treats over the Easter weekend which was very lovely. Their home was gorgeous and very comfortable. Rocky is such a sweetheart, a super easy going pup that just loves to be cuddled and taken on walks, we really fell in love with him actually. We would definitely recommend this sit.

Jamie is so kind.
Her furry family and home were very welcoming. I took Abby to a nearby dog park and she had a blast chasing the ball. Snowball kept me company as a snuggle buddy all night.
