Nice stay. Very low maintenance dogs and very low maintenance owners! Although no dog walks were required during the week-long stay, I felt compelled to walk Coby, the gentleman husky, nearly every day. Wanted him to get sufficient intellectual stimulation (see the dog psychology books of Alexandra Horowitz). Maddy simply wanted lots of love and lots of belly rubs. A couple of notes: The location is somewhat out of the way. If you don't have a car, some might find it inconvenient. It's about 3.2 miles to the nearest grocery store....the Metro is the same distance away. And the Metro will be needed to get you inexpensively to downtown Silver Spring, where there are a lot of restaurants and shops (of course, there is always Uber). The other thing that gave me slight pause: The doggy door is carved out of the somewhat flimsy back screen door, not the main door. Since it is kept open at night to allow the dogs to go in and out (I did try to close it a couple of nights, but Coby would ask politely in the middle of the night to go outside), it might give pause to some who might be edgy over a stay in an urban/suburban area. But overall, a very comfortable stay, very nice owners and very sweet dogs!
