This was a fantastic house sit. Judy was so welcome and friendly when we arrived the night before the sit started, she made us feel very at home. The dogs are just sweetest characters we didn’t want to leave by the end of it. Fizzle also gives the best cuddles which is a bonus!! Oh and the views are just breathtaking! You would need a car if you came here to get food but all the walks etc are on the door step! Amazing place! 😆
Kathy and Richard are an outstanding couple. They kindly offered to collect us from the station and even take us food shopping for our stay there. They helped put all the food shopping away, gave us a choice of bedrooms to stay in and we hung out getting to know each other over tea and cheesecake sitting outside in their tranquil garden. They called us for a lovely chat mid stay, checking we had everything we needed, telling us about their trip and treated us with such kindness as if we were their own family. Poppy and Bella are adorable cats to look after, Bella is a vocal kitty and will happily follow you round for cuddles, play time and sleep on your bed. Poppy is a lovely natured older girl with eyes of wisdom, she loves her evening treats and has a warm and radiant purr once you gain her trust. We will of course be staying in touch with lovely Kathy and Richard.
We really enjoyed our time with Dot and Paisley. They are the sweetest and goofiest pups. Dot is a total clown and Paisley joins in from time to time. They LOVE their walks and playing in the snow and are the BEST snuggle buddies at night. Jenna’s home is very comfortable and the guest bed is a cloud. Plenty of sidewalks for walking the girls too. We would be happy to come back and stay with the boxer crew anytime.
It was lovely to sit for Traci and Brian! Their pets are adorable and each of them bonded with me. The dogs are full of cheer and love, and it was easy to care for them. They have a beautiful house with a terrific location within walking distance from the pier. There are other charming locations also within walking distance which the locals frequent. Traci was well-organized and terrific with her communications! She also impressed me with her thoughtfulness and hospitality.

My dog Poppy is living her best life at Puppygarten! She has daily adventures enjoying the best outdoor adventures that Christchurch has to offer. She’s made lots of new doggo friends, is well looked after by the Puppygarten humans and she is being taught a few good habits along the way too. I very highly recommend Puppygarten, I wish I could send myself! **oh and I love the daily pics showing me what an amazing day she’s having!

Our cat had stayed in several places in Chch. One where she came home a nervous wreck. We live on the complete other side of town to Avon Cattery and Bunny Boarding but from now on we drive the 40min to take Enzo there because when we get her back she is as happy as before she left. They really must love animals and not only be running a business.
We have been taking our family cats to Anna at Avon Cattery for over 10 years. Anna takes incredible care of our current cat Pico and we have never had any issues over the many years using Avon Cattery. It’s lovely to leave Pico when we go on holiday and have no worries. Thank you Anna!

There's probably a dozen catteries or so that are more convenient to me, but I travel across town to come to Avon Cattery. They have a great space for the cats allowing them to enjoy outside time - not always confined to a small cage which we appreciate. Anna is extremely welcoming and friendly and I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a new cattery.
I took my two cats here over a year ago, the cats looked totally freaked out when I went there to visit a day later, as I was in between houses. The areas are tiny, the whole place seems higgledy-piggledy, nothing cosy about it at all, and my cat was hiding behind his bed. Not warm either, no nice look out on to anything. Maybe good for bunnies but not cats. I put my cars in the car for the night and took them elsewhere the next day.
We have been leaving both our cats with Anna and team for some time now, always positive and we totally trust that our pets are in the best care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable place for their pets to have their own holiday.
We have been a frequent and regular user of Anna's cattery for some years, she's always welcoming and accommodating and we'd made to feel like friends. Our cat receives wonderful care and is always happy and in good condition when we collect her after a stay.
Anna has been looking after our cat Pepsi for several years now whenever we go away for more than 1 night. Pepsi isn't a sociable cat, so Anna's ability to cater for her as well as for cats who are much more sociable is ideal. Pepsi is over 15 years old and Anna dispenses the daily medication required for her thyroid issue. The cattery is always warm and clean whenever we visit, and we wouldn't consider leaving Pepsi with anyone else, she is very well fed and looked after at Avon Cattery.
The best place by far for our boy, he absolutely loves staying here with Anna, we had to put him elsewhere for a stay as Anna was full and he came home a different cat, was very unhappy for weeks when we got him home, never again! Just had another stay with Anna and came home happy as😁 that speaks volumes, highly recommend Avon Cattery & Bunny Boarding to anyone looking to put their fur baby here👌

PLEASE READ UPDATE: Don't recommend for dogs who have any requirements beyond normal drop off and pick up. Really like this kennel, our dog is a large x breed, and has anxiety. The staff are amazing, very knowledgeable, kind and enjoy their work. This translates to a relaxed drop off and pickup. Our dog has no problem going in and comes out happy, not scared or anxious The facility is clean, fresh and suitable. The price for daycare is fantastic 👏 Totally recommend this kennel for all breeds and needs. Update: our dog jumped out after I asked for him to not be left alone without another dog nearby and he ran down the road .. he was scared and anxious afterwards ...

Paid for 10 days in advance, checked with the manager the day before I brought my dog in that I bring his bed and toys for his kennel while I am in hospital. Then arrived with him today and his own bed (from home) was not allowed. Had to find another last minute kennel as I was due in hospital.
My doggy Patch loves this place. We have been going for almost a year. The people are always friendly and welcoming. They always take the best of care of your dog(s) as if they were their own. They learn their names and interact with them. They also notice dog personalities and make sure your dog only plays with dogs they get along with. Mine for example likes to play a little rough and so gets to tire out all the massive dogs. Patch will literally sit and cry at my door if he doesn't go to daycare. I recommend Alamedas to anyone i ever meet asking about day care or kennels/cattery.
We have been going to Alameda for almost a year now! After our girl started destroying the house we were at a loss and these guys were our saving grace! Our Vayda absolutely loves going to school each day! She goes 5 days a week and gets upset with us if she doesn’t get to go! The staff are absolutely amazing and treat our girl with the most respect and don’t judge any dogs by their breed or size. When we first went we explained we didn’t know about her social skills and the team have been nothing but supportive and second home for our baby <3 Couldn’t recommended them enough!!!!

Best kennel in Christchurch. Staff are on point and have my boy's best interests at heart. These carers care and it shows because my dog says so. Thank you for providing the perfect place for my man, I truly appreciate what you all do.
Great staff, our boy Winston loves staying here. Bonus that they are still reasonable priced. There is not much space for dogs to play and there is no lawn or backyard line some other more expensive kennels. However I always judge how happy our boy is when we drop him here and pick him up and he always seems like he has had a good time and is well cared for which good enough for us.
Great place to take our dogs for grooming. They always return well cut and smelling great. We have tried other places but kimmeys has been the best groom and value for money.

We went to puppy school with Brian and absolutely loved their approach to a dog’s care, enrichment and wellbeing. After “graduation” Brian goes to day care once a week and we love seeing the photos of his day and the “debrief” from the staff member who brings him out at the end of the day. We know he’s safe and cared for, and sleeps like a log when he gets home!
Dylan the wee dog has been coming to Everything dog daycare for quite some time now....the excitement from him when we pull up is wonderful....he loves it and if I could I would take him there everyday. Today Dylan had a groom and it's the best he has ever looked....the new groomer talked to me on the phone first to find out what I wanted done. The care and every detail right down to ears and tail was amazing......thankyou so much :-)

Neil gave my elderly, anxious cocker spaniel a great "look" at her last grooming and she seemed to have had a relaxed experience with him, even through they had never met before. I'll be happy to book him again.

I am very confused after reading the most recent reviews as the service I have received from everything dog has been absolutely incredible! All of the staff have been super friendly and amazing looking after Finn. I could not possibly recommend them more! I would also suggest disregarding "Greatness JR's" feedback after looking at their other negative reviews it seems that they may be the problem.
My dog was attacked at this daycare! Worst of all, nobody informed me that this had occurred. My dog only went to daycare approximately 1 afternoon a week. I picked my dog up one afternoon in mid November. I didn't notice anything at first until a few days later because her ear was more droopy than usual. Upon inspection, I saw that her ear was very red and infected. I took her to the vet, and the vet also found 2 puncture wounds on her neck, caused by another dog's K9s. I was absolutely mortified at this finding. She had to go on a round of antibiotics. Another dog has gotten a hold of her and punctured her neck, and ripped her at the tip of her ear, causing an infection. The ONLY place my dog is ever around other dogs or animals is at daycare. She is with me all the time other than at daycare, and there are NO other animals ever around that could do this to her. There is absolutely no other place this could have occurred. My dog is a small Chihuahua and she could have been killed!! Her ear is now permanently flopped due to nerve damage and the puncture wounds still have not healed. I am absolutely shocked that this occurred and even more shocked that nobody informed me. My little dog would have yelped her head off when she was being hurt and someone would have heard this! And if nobody saw it happen, then they weren't doing their job and watching the dogs. On top of this, the staff turnover is ridiculous!! My dog had been going there for a year, and I'm constantly introducing her to new people all the time. Recently, a guy kept referring to her as a boy after he got there 10 minutes late after 7am!!! My dog is my child, and I have no trust in Everything Dog.
Very unhappy with the service. Lack of safety when dropping off dogs as the area is small and over crowded. Not professional at handling issues and feel as a client we were not treated with respect at all. Love the response, typical attitude from them. Everything Dog go through staff like you wouldn't believe and I have had some interesting feedback from previous staff whom I know. If safety was SUCH a concern, then listen to the feedback about the drop off area it is to small and dogs feel threatened when arriving & leaving. Dogs only react when they are scared or feel crowded - would never recommend this facility.
Our dog Nyla has so much fun. She was a bit over excited when we first took her there, and so the owner and staff really worked with us and Nyla to get her to settle down more. We like that there are lots of dogs to play with and then they can have chill time at lunch/afternoon.
PAWS are just fantastic with our dog. We had just adopted her at 18 months and they were so helpful for getting to know her personality and transition her to pet life. They are genuinely interested in your dog and talk as much as you want - they even fulfilled my special request (meeting Alun the sausage dog!). Best in the city doggy school around!
This is such a good doggy daycare. Staff are incredibly lovely and knowledgeable and work with your individual dog needs. My puppy loves coming here and they maintain good routines for puppies and help set them up for success. Great central location and love the photo updates throughout the day.
Absolutely love the team at Paws. Our boy loved going here so much, unfortunately hes having some health issues but we are hopefuly he will be able to return. The team are so passionate about what they do. Love the updates on instagram as well. I was worried because our pup doesnt know how to rest himself but they made sure to put him in a quiet place several times a day so he would rest.
Shout out to the Paws Daycare team and their excellent work! Can highly recommend. Our dog is a regular at Paws Daycare (twice a week) and we are very happy with the friendly and competent staff, their facility, programme and price. Its location enables an easy drop off in the mornings before work, knowing our dog is well looked after. The team pays great attention to good dog behaviour and provided regular photo updates through instagram.
We absolutely love taking our dog Molly to Paws Doggy Daycare. Molly is so happy when we drop her off and pick her up. The staff are lovely and very clearly care for the dogs they look after. Would highly recommend.

Paws Doggy Daycare have become part of our crazy Vizsla’s family! Tia has attended regularly since she was just a pup and will pull my arm off with excitement when we pull into the car park, desperate to get to the door! The team have supported us as first-time dog owners with advice, reassurance, consistency and flexibility when work commitments mean last minute changes to Tia’s schedule. I know that Tia is getting loads of stimulation, is encouraged to rest when she’s tired, and support for the times of the day she finds challenging! We couldn’t be without Paws and would recommend without any reservations to anyone looking at daycare for their dog.
Can't recommend PAWS enough, we have been coming for a couple of years now since my dog was 12 weeks old. The attention paid to each dog gives you so much confidence in leaving them for the day. The team are so friendly and helpful too. Percy is very small and not very social but he still loves it when we arrive and can do his own thing with a group of like minded dogs.
Our Dog Mabel loves Paws Doggy Daycare and she cannot wait to go inside when i drop her off. I trust them with her 100% and i am beyond happy with the service that they provide and the joy they bring to Mabel.
