My husband and I just finished a wonderful sit for Suse which we thoroughly enjoyed. We're already missing her sweet animals and beautiful setting near the forest! We felt very comfortable with Suze from our first contact with her, which was a video chat. Suse is a great communicator and provided us with clear instructions on caring for each of her animals. She invited us to come a day early to get to know the animals, their routines, and she even made us a delicious dinner! Suse was quick to respond to emails and texts while she was away, as well. The animals were delightful! Raven & Bambi, the goats, were very entertaining and playful. The hens, Ruby & Penny were very curious and Ruby enjoyed eating a bit out of our hands every day! Penny was new & still a little shy. Spunky the cat was the cutest! She loved snuggling up with Brett on the couch. Foxy was one of the smartest dogs we've met. Although she already knew a few tricks, she quickly learned to shake her paw in our hands while we were there! Foxy was adorable and we enjoyed hiking daily with her in the nearby forest. Suse's home was very clean and comfortable. We made most of our meals in her well equipped kitchen. We stayed in the guest bedroom downstairs, which had a big, comfortable bed. Suse made a point of taking us up to the highest deck (Widow's walk) to see the incredible view surrounding her property. The house was right next to a forest, which had burned last year and revealed the rocky landscape in a unique and rare way. Witnessing the new growth of the plants and trees was amazing. There are several good restaurants and attractions nearby, including other hiking areas. We visited the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum & Botanical Garden. We highly recommend this sit and would be happy to do it again!
John, Radka and Sophie are an incredibly friendly family! They welcomed us openly and explained and showed us the most important things. Communication while they were away was very good and they were always available! Their house is in a perfect area and is extremely clean and cosy! Coco is a cuddly, friendly dachshund who won our hearts immediately. He took to us straight away and was up for any adventure we had together. On our walks he was friendly to all people and other dogs. We had a wonderful time with him and would come back anytime.
Lexington was super affectionate and sweet and super easy to care for! I had a really relaxed time and enjoyed the beatific views of the mountains and city! I’d definitely come again! :)
Jill had everything perfectly organized for me to come in and look after her pals. The cats and dog are so well behaved and easy to look after .The area is great for walking along the beach and exploring local parks . Jill is a thoughtful and kind owner and her hone is cute and comfortable and very cozy.
Ryan & crew were wonderful! Everything was labeled and set up conveniently, all pets are so well behaved ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Juno is so smart, she’ll let you know what she needs and how she likes to play. Hamilton is the sweetest old guy — he got a little nervous during 4th of July fireworks but we cuddled through it ? I also got individual cuddle time with Knox and Theo! They’re such a cool group, all love and play together so well. Would sit for them again any day!
Truffle is a sweet, spirited, mischievous kitty and I loved spending time with him. The location of the apartment is great too- close to everything in Golden! And Sarah and Alex were clear and prompt communicators. Overall a great sit!
