Jono and Monique were exceptional pet/house sitters for us. Our dogs took to them the minute they arrived and were still looking for them when they left. They were very respectful of our home, and kept it very tidy. Plus Monique is an excellent cook and baker, so bonus if you get to experience this. We were fortunate to get to know them a bit while in Vancouver and are pleased we have some terrific new friends.
Jenny was absolutely wonderful. She kept me in the loop and sent photos. She was extremely self sufficient, which is great but not usually expected. She took such good care of the plants, the house, and more importantly the kitties. My kitties usually take days to warm up to the sitter but she won them over almost immediately! Which is important due to the medication they require. I would highly recommend Jenny to sit for anyone. She’s great with the house and the kitties. I hope she will sit for me again in the future. You will be extremely happy with Jenny as your sitter!
Let me just cut to the chase and say Kyle was great; now for the details. I normally select retired couples to sit for us as we have a large, complicated house and I look for people who have home ownership experience. But, I immediately felt comfortable with Kyle; he's smart, easy-going and thoughtful. Kyle was one of only two people who applied for our housesit when I first listed it with our high maintenance geriatric dog. After receiving so few applicants, I reluctantly decided to board my dog for six weeks and reposted the sit as a much less demanding one with only cats. The applications poured in. Kyle brought up the issue of our dog during the phone interview. He didn't want to see an old dog boarded for that long (neither did I!) and said that he didn't mind taking care of her, despite having to take her out every four to five hours. I was touched. We 've always said that you know you've got a good housesitter when you don't think about home; you know it's handled and you can let that part of your life go, and enjoy the adventure. That's what Kyle gave us. He communicated enough, but not too much. He conscientiously took our old girl out and gave medications to all of the animals (yes, the dog and three cats all get daily meds). He maintained the hot tub chemicals, and even did some work around the yard. We came home to happy animals and a clean house. We couldn't be more pleased!
