Virginia was quick to respond both prior to and during the housesit, even making efforts to find cellular reception in a snow storm in a remote area so I could connect with her directly before confirming. We had an hour chat and walk through of the house and all things Osity cat before I left for 10 days. I received delightful messages about how Osity was socializing with her and the house was extremely clean when I arrived home. My only, complaint of the interaction is that I didn't get to say thank you in person as my return was delayed one night by weather. I'd have her back if circumstances aligned.
Rick took a lot of time to show us the ropes. The dogs are super well behaved and the pigs great fun. Really enjoyed our sit and thoroughly recommend it. The house and setting was outstanding.
I am really grateful to have gotten to experience this sit on the coast. Carolyn was kind and welcoming and her home was incredibly clean. Puddles was a sweet kitty and desired to mostly keep to himself. I would absolutely recommend this sit. I did not get to hang out with Penny but imagine enjoying doing so. Be sure to get clarification on the address here if it is not updated in the guide. I had some trouble with just the zip code listed but Carolyn was able to kindly send over a pin, the address, and instructions. Do take note that there is unfortunate clear cutting happening in the Rockaway beach and Seaside areas. Petitions have been put out at times to have better management and care for the local trees and water. I would love to see more old growth forests sustained. It is and was lovely to be amidst old growth area, the coast, some wonderful hikes that lead to coves, and delicious crab and other seafood.
Taking care of Millie was a wonderful experience, she is the most playful girl, a real sea lover and her passion for water goes far beyond what we can describe. Every night she slept with us, and it was great waking up with her loving face patiently waiting for us. We had a great stay at Cassandra and Henrik’s place, they took us from Køge Nord station and received us with a very nice meal. We were able to use their bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings - we went to Stevns Klint a UNESCO World Heritage site, and to Vallø Castle, we highly recommend both. Thanks Cassandra and Henrik - you both were great, and we hope to see you again one day.
