We had a good sit in Bucksburn with the friendly cat trio of Sam, Jack and Arthur! Arthur at 22 may appear somewhat rickety but gets around well, takes his one pill easily, and likes to come out for a pet and neck scratch. Jack likes a cuddle and food first thing in the morning, then he’s off to visit the neighbours or snooze in his cozy outdoor house (and most of the time he comes in when called!). Sam loves people the most, sitting with Bob each morning and purring me to sleep on my pillow each night. He sleeps through the night, waking about 6:30 but purrfectly content to go into the other rooms once Jack is out the door for the day. We knew in advance that Sam and Jack didn’t get along but keeping Jack and Sam in separate rooms in a small terrace house really wasn’t a problem, just required a bit of extra attention as to who was where before opening doors, including to the outside. Arthur gets along with everybody but still shows interest in going outdoors, yet he is pretty easy to keep preoccupied with food!
Donna and John were very nice hosts, thoughtfully recognizing our 25th anniversary by leaving us a surprise bottle of wine, chocolates and card. Their home was exceptionally clean, with well-appointed appliances, furniture and decor. The location served as a great base for exploring the many castles and gardens of Aberdeenshire but we also enjoyed time outs just hanging with the cats watching tv and sitting in the quiet backyard admiring the flowers.

I enjoyed my sit with Bindi very much. She is an affectionate kitty who loves attention and we became very fast friends. Jessica’s home is lovely and I felt very comfortable staying there. I felt immediately welcomed with the sweet drawing of Bindi that her children made for me, it truly made my day and warmed my heart after a ten hour drive. I would absolutely sit for Jessica with Bindi again in the future and I hope to be invited back. I recommend this sit to others. :)

We really enjoyed our stay in Boulder!
Apollo and Zeus are just too sweet for words! The first time we met them they were leaping with excitement, but then they quickly turned into calm snuggle bugs that sat by our feet as we worked.
Karlie was great, communicative, and gave very efficient and clear instructions.
The location was also great to anyone looking to stay in Boulder! The iconic flat irons were visible from the backyard. There is also no shortage of local trails and pathways, (and my personal favorite college spot Cafe Mexicali is half a mile away). You are walking distance from the beautiful boulder campus. If you're coming with a car, there is also no shortage of longer hiking trails to take the dogs on.

What a GREAT stay! Bailey is such a wonderful pal. He's 12 and still plays as enthusiastically as a much younger doggie and has such a sweet and fun personality. This is really a special dog. So gentle and cuddly and easy to be with. He pants a little when he's getting used to you, but it went away after a couple of days and was not a problem at all. Julia and Tom had everything ready for us and made the stay cozy, comfortable, and easy for me to work with fast internet. Location is fabulous and lots of beautiful places to walk, especially along the water and harbor, and interesting and unusual outdoor eating experiences. Could not have asked for a better experience and we look forward to going back. Thank you Julia, Tom and BAILEY!!!!

Radar and Oliver were a delight to get to know. We arrived early so Mike could show us the places where we could take Radar to walk and play with him and help us be comfortable in his home and the town. Radar is a high energy dog and each day I took him for a long walk and threw the frisbee for him, which he loves. He’ll fetch and return the frisbee (and other toys) all day long if allowed and seems to tire little. He eats when he wants and his evening meal may need to be given in shifts. One of the many ways Mike shows the love for his pets is in the home cooked dinner he prepares for Radar (he left an ample supply of this). He provided us detailed and easy to follow instructions about the feeding for both of the boys. Radar needs to be walked several times a day so he can complete his toilet routine. He may need to walk for awhile before he finds the right spot.

My husband and I ate meals at the dining table and were always accompanied by Radar and Oliver who enjoyed being part of the activity. We never gave them food and they did not beg. Be sure to watch Oliver, though, if you step away from the table when there is food out.

Oliver was a bit shy the first couple of days of our stay but he warmed up to us. He was easy to care for with his feeding and Mike has a lovely litter box for him.

Mike was in regular communication with us to make sure we had all that was needed to care for the animals and be comfortable in his home. He was helpful and generous in every way to familiarize us with the area. He’s a wonderful man and it was a pleasure to get to know him. His house is comfortable, clean, and has everything that we needed.

It was a pleasure to pet-sit for Mike.
