All around 5 stars! Communicative, reliable, and detail oriented - Julie and her brother took care of our apartment and our cat while we were gone over a long weekend. They left our apartment spotless and our cat happy. Couldn't have asked for better sitting experience. We're so happy to have them and we'd be delighted to have them sit for us again, anytime.
Prior to our leaving I had an opportunity to meet with Melanie to go over everything with her. We also left an extremely detailed 10 page itemization of everything needed to take care of Cleo & our house. Pros: Melanie communicated with us whenever she had questions, concerns & sent pictures of Cleo Melanie fed & left water for Cleo There were clean sheets on the bed when we got home Cons: Melanie was late in arriving the day we were to leave to go to the airport Rather than scoop out the litter box as requested Melanie just kept adding litter - the stench when we came home from the very soaked litter was awful We specifically asked that when Melanie open the garage door that she not leave it open because of some very expensive bikes and tools. Melanie left and did not shut the garage door. (Thankfully our neighbor noticed it open and closed it for us.) When I opened the lid to our toilet the entire inside of the bowl, including the water was a dark brown - it was just plain gross Some of these concerns were communicated with Melanie via text since she was not here when we got home. Her reply about the toilet was "there was a plumbing issue with the toilet and I did not remember if the discoloration was there before I got there or not" "I am a very small person who consumes very little food there is only so much damage I could personally do to a toilet" "And as far as the garage situation is concerned I assumed your neighbors had already told you about it because it happened the very first day I was there" "It was an honest mistake I pushed the button and thought it closed" "That was the day I had to go to Inglewood and drive in rush hour traffic to get home which is why it took me a long time to get back" My last communication to Melanie via text was: I am glad we come home when we did." "I'm happy Cleo is OK" "As far as the house being left in "pristine" condition that is certainly debatable" "Let's just leave it at that!" Melanie's reply was ...." I am sorry I couldn't live according to your standards, perhaps you should find another service"
