This sit is a 20 out of 10. I’m so grateful for the quiet time on this beautiful hill with these sweet dogs to have some quiet time and process some grief. The dogs couldn’t be sweeter and have very clear rules / routines that they will teach you. The property is truly and oasis of serenity behind a locked gate. You can go for beautiful walks around the property, enjoy the labyrinth in the trees or get a slightly longer walk by walking down the hill. Communication was stellar. Cathryn and Charlie are so kind and take pride in the beautiful home they have created .
Jennifer’s house and dogs provided us with a wonderful experience, and all was in line with the listing. Hunny and Rosie are both very well behaved labradors, and very much ‘people’ dogs, loving cuddles and pats (and treats, of course). Jennifer provided us with great info on the local area as well as her household, and was a very welcoming host. Her home and the local area were quintessentially English countryside and I would recommend this sit to other sitters.
Lauren left detailed notes for the home, area, and pet care which made it a very easy sit. Little Kitty loves to snuggle on the couch is you watch a movie or read a book. She will be the first to wake up and let you know its morning. She love to be brushed and will let you know when she has had enough. James is sweet and will talk with you as you cook or if you sit with him on the bench. He likes to be scratched under the chin. Lauren's home is beautiful and my accommodation were very comfortable and located on the first floor. Lots of wonderful hikes in the area and Ashville is about 30 minutes away. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this sit.
This was one of my favorite sits ever. Gail & Grant were so welcoming and generous. I got a detailed rundown of Bertie's routine and a tour of his favorite walks. The views from the house were stunning and the guest suite very comfy. Waiheke is a special place and I enjoyed an amazing week of beach walks and trail hikes with Bertie, endless games with his toy pigs, and a few wine/whisky tastings thrown in. I did not want to leave and highly recommend this sit!
