Lovely farmhouse in the East Sussex countryside. Quiet with beautiful gardens, unspoiled views of the downs and an Aga. Perfect for someone with gardening and house management experience who is looking to explore the Ashdown forest and surrounding villages. Need your own car though and must be prepared to do without high speed broadband. Couple are very friendly, accommodating and provided clear written instructions on the house and what needed doing. Be prepared to put in some effort, though - slackers need not apply.
Rose and Larry were wonderfully warm, thoughtful and kind. Sweetie -- well named, loves to snuggle, and was easy to care for. Kind of like having your very own little four-legged, furry sidekick. Sweetie loves her walks. It's barely a stones throw to a natural walking trail through the hills. And there is also a lovely little park less than a mile away. Sweetie also enjoys tagging along in the car. All in all, happy and lovely owners, environs and doggie. Triple threat pretty well covers it. :)
Definitely a five star sit in a 15th century House set in the Welsh border countryside of Shropshire. Teddy and Mo were a pleasure to sit and we enjoyed many walks along the tracks and through fields directly from the house and also sitting / walking around Amanda’s beautifully kept gardens. In the evenings Teddy and Mo would happily sit beside us on the sofas. Commutation with Amanda before and during the sit was excellent. The home is very comfortable including our bedroom with en suite. We really enjoyed our sit and looking after Teddy and Mo who are such well behaved and lovable dogs and we would be very happy to return. Thank you Amanda for choosing us to sit for you.
Lovely sit in Otley last weekend. The house is lovely and so is the garden in the lovely sunshine we had. The area has loads to do. The house is super easy and so are Poppy’s needs . Poppy was quite unsettled throughout the 2 nights we were there leaving us quite exhausted each day, but from what I gather, this isn’t her usually behaviour to be up all night! She’s a gorgeous dog and super easy on a walk😊
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of house sitting at Laura's and I must say it was an outstanding experience! The house was as see said a 100 year old farm house that has plenty of history in it. The location was perfect, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Very laid back and away from traffic noise and day to day hustle, and all you could hear is silence and the sounds of nature calling you to enjoy it. Laura was an excellent host who made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She was friendly, communicative, and always available to answer any questions I had. She even made us an excellent lasagna meal the night we arrived! Some of the highlights of our time at Laura's was spending time with her adorable dogs and cat (they were well-behaved and affectionate), feeding and talking to the donkeys, goats, and chickens. and it was clear that Laura takes great care of them. The nature walks in the 80 acre woods were very relaxing, peaceful, and just what we was looking for in this house sit! Overall, I would highly recommend house sitting at Laura's. It was a wonderful experience and I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. Thank you, Laura, for your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful home with us!
