Lisa
The best first Trusted Pet Sitters experience!! Lisa and Steve were nothing but accommodating and kind. They allowed us to stay pre-sit to get a understanding of the dogs routine and settle in. The house was nothing short of amazing. Absolutely beautiful. So much light and sun, my partner and I would have our morning coffees out on the deck looking over the view. The dogs were the best part, curry was the most friendliest lab ever, who only wants to play. Bodhi is the most docile dog ever, most of the time just laid down and relaxed. Prancer, is the sweetest little dog ever, so gentle and relaxed. But would get the zoomies which is the best thing to watch. If your lucky enough to pass the Bella test, you’ll love her dearly. So sad to have left. That house, the dogs and Lisa and Steve made that home away feel like home. Thank you Lisa and Steve, we will be back xx

Barbara
I had an absolutely wonderful week with Mia. Barbara and her partner were incredibly welcoming and communicative before the sit, and provided lovely detailed instructions and walk suggestions for nearby. They have a beautiful home and garden and the surrounding village and nearby towns were a treat to explore. Mia is an absolute angel and incredibly well-behaved for walks, I so enjoyed her company. Would sit again any time!

I really enjoyed the stay here! It‘s a beautiful area and the two little dogs are really easy to handle and you will fall in love them. Also Kristy is a really nice person and everything was really uncomplicated. Loved it🫶

Denise
We thoroughly enjoyed our house-sit at Denise's house 'Malbec' and fell in love with the area. The surrounding countryside and chestnut forests are truly stunning and there are lots of beautiful walks on the Camino (St Jacques de Compostelle) which crosses the end of the road near Malbec. The amazing Saturday market at Sarlat is less than an hour a way and there are so many stunning chateaux and villages that we could have (and may still) spend a lifetime there!
Denise's animals were very easy to care for and required about 20 minutes morning and evening for feeding. However, I believe that she may since have got a new puppy and pony so there could be a little more work involved than with the old horse (Spring) and dog (Shadow) and independent cats which we were in charge of.
The guest accommodation in the house is comfortable with en-suite bathroom.
Wifi is VERY slow so if you are hoping to work remotely (as we were) I would think again.
You will definitely need a car since the nearest shop is about 15 mins drive away in Cazals.
I would have preferred to have seen some more photos of the inside of the house and the animals on her profile. We really had no idea what to expect of the house at all since the information on her profile was very scant but I believe that she is not great with technology and finds it difficult to upload images.
We would also like have had a little more clear communication with Denise during our stay but she seemed to have difficulties with her phones and doesn't use WhatsApp which is great for quick messages. If there had been an emergency of any sort it would have been difficult to get in touch with her.
Also the directions to the house were very confusing and we got lost on our way there which could have been avoided with more detailed, accurate instructions so I would double-check all that and use SatNav instead of relying on those.
Having said all that, if you like peaceful, rural life, walking, beautiful scenery etc then this might be a great fit for you.

Laura
Laura and SImon offered us a very warm welcome on arrival, to their beautiful and comfortable home. Baba and Coco were friendly and affectionate from the start as well, and proved to be lovely companions throughout.
A very stylish and cosy home this is with very fast and reliable Wi-Fi and great office chair and desk.
Amenities are vey handy here, being a short stroll from town. It is such as bonus to have 2 lovely woods a few minutes walk away too. Baba has her routine and can be quite stubborn - she prefers the town to the woods! However, on coaxing she would come for a big trot there with us and it’s unmissable. She is also grumpy around other dogs, so best kept apart, but she adores people and is a lovable little character.
The coastline and the beaches Laura recommends in the guide are stunning. I would also recommend not to miss the Galloway national park, around 45 minutes and a lovely drive away. We did Raiders Road and stopped at all the sites on Queen’s
Way, including the deer enclosure (bring carrots). We ended at the lovely visitor centre at the south end which has gorgeous trails and bike hire. Kirkcudbright is nice for a short trip and has nice coffee and gift shops. Th RSPB Osprey hide as a lovely walk by castle ruins. For those wanting to break up the trip travelling up, Carlisle has a lovely town centre with lots of shops and bars and is an hour away. A lovely trip. Thank you Laura, SImon, Baba and Coco :)
