Highly recommend this sit!! Beautiful Penny is the sweetest German Shepherd. Being an Elder, she mostly sleeps, but loves some loving pets, a little frisbee time and short walks. Penny and I spent a lot of contemplation time relaxing on the back porch. The yard is so peaceful, especially at night. Scott and Che’ were easy to be around and really good people. They have great communication and positive energy that is reflected in the living space. The house is equipped with everything you need including a very comfy bed. I really enjoyed this sit and a bonus that it is in one of the most magical parts of the country.
We arrived a day early for this sit in order to meet Steven & Gaynor and go over the routines for the dogs. We had a nice evening with them and enjoyed the conversation very much. They have a lovely home and were very easy to communicate with. We also LOVED Pickles and Max! Everything went very smoothly and the pups were well behaved and incredibly affectionate.
This sit was simply amazing ! First of all, Waffley and Napkin are the cutest : if you stay with them be ready for some cuddles, fun and chill times. They both have their own habits for example Waffley loves the cuddles on the couch when Napkin prefer it when being brush. They are so easy and it is honestly such a pleasure. Also, the flat was perfect : Jesse and Mark have excellent taste and it is just very pleasant to stay in their flat. You will find everything you need, from the workplace to the TV, the balcony or the dryer and some beautiful colours on the walls. Jesse was super easy to reach, she gave me many good recommandations of restaurants and places to visit in the neighbourhood (very central and beautiful), good informations about Waffley and Napkin and even a welcome gift. Hopefully I will have the chance to sit again with them :) I can only recommend the sit +++
Sara is an incredibly conscientious pet owner and it shows! From detailed communication before the trip to always being available to answer questions despite the considerable time difference - her clarity and attention to detail helped me make sure that Starsky was well taken care of. Like other reviews mention, Starsky is a ball of energy - but that's just in his nature. Make sure to take the time to help him get his heart rate up a couple times a day and he'll reward you with plenty of affection. Pro tip: the dog park near the Whole Foods is packed around 5:30 PM and a great place to let him run and play with other dogs. The location could not be beat and Sara's home is comfortable, cozy, and calm for such a central location.
I ADORED hanging out with Gordon and Beaumont. They are darling and very easy to care for. We became fast friends and their unique personalities shone during each activity; they're very respectful of one another during meal time, they know how to play "seek" for kibble if you hide some around the house, Beaumont talks to humans to introduce himself and to Gordon when he wants to play, and so many more things that make me smile as I write this review. They were happy to chill on the back porch, chill on the couch watching out the window, spending time in their parents' room or in my room, find toys in their toy bin, and go on walks. Harris and Kristen live next to a creek/park area and so walks are super convenient. Their home is welcoming and comfortable and really quite "cool." I loved these boys and the time I got to spend with them and hope to stay with them again. (Posting this hopefully in the correct location on TSH and not just as a reply somewhere - :) Sent | Mar 1, 2023
Sara is a very welcoming host and provided us with all the information we needed to look after Ramona and the house. She also provided a welcome card and gift from Ramona and dinner the first night. The home is very comfortable and in a very good location. The Wissahickon Valley Park is close by and is great for walking. The Main St. of Manayunk has great shops and restaurants. Kelly Dr. is close by for easy access to downtown Philadelphia and the commuter train station is at the end of the street. Ramona is a lot of fun to be with. She loves people and is energetic. She’s easy to look after and we enjoyed cuddles at night on the couch. We’d recommend this sit for everyone.
