I felt blessed to have received an Invitation from Lydia to watch over her family home & fur babies. Our meet & greet was a success - it was great that I got to meet everyone in the family and that they were all involved. Once I met Leah & Luna, that was it - I seized the opportunity and sealed the deal! I had a wonderful time staying over at Lydia & Dave’s home and spending my Christmas Holiday with their sweet girls Leah & Luna. They were easy to care for & even easier to love. They both brought me so much joy, love, comfort & healing. Leah just loves being close to me wherever I’m relaxing. We enjoyed all our walks around the beautiful neighborhood as well as our car rides and outings around town. Luna is a sweet chatty kitty who purrs like a motorboat endlessly that’ll just melt your heart every time you see her. She’s extremely friendly just like Leah - she loved to sit on my lap to get lots of love & attention, purring and meowing away while marking me all over with her cheeks & face. I enjoyed letting her out each morning and scooping her up back inside every evening. Lydia & Dave provided easy to follow instructions, which made the stay smooth & comfortable. The Christmas Spirit was definitely alive at their wonderful home. They had a big beautiful fully decorated Christmas tree that I really loved seeing it lite up each day as well as all the decorations throughout the home and all the outside ones. They have well stocked fully equipped kitchen and other wonderful amenities that would keep you entertained indoors. They were very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Lydia, your bean soup was literally a life-saver :) Thank you so much Lydia, Dave & Annika for the kindness and generosity you’ve shown in having your trust and confidence in me to care for your sweet loving girls and home. Trust me when I say any sitter should feel truly lucky to be chosen to sit for this wonderful family :)
The pets Thor is a champion border terrier; such a great little companion. He's an easy going dog, mostly sleeping throughout the day in his various sunny spots, and was a great little walker out in the hills and fields. He and my own dog got along vey well, either doing their own thing, following me around the house together like a little entourage, or sunning themselves out in the garden! Thor just made it fun and a joy to hang out with in his home. He took well to some longer walks, which I was definitely up for! There are also 5 free roaming chickens, who needed minimal attention for an excellent daily egg service. And finally the tortoise, who you won't hear a peep from! Possibly the easiest animal care client I've ever had :D The house and hosts Laura and her family were very welcoming, kind and considerate, coming to collect me and setting me up with food for my time there. Laura was incredibly quick on replying to any questions or concerns, which was very reassuring too. Their home is wonderfully remote, quiet and peaceful (with two nearby neighbours so not completely on your own). Their sun trapped garden gets full of chattering birds, there's plenty of walks around and their house has such a chilled vibe. I would have loved to have used their outdoor fire pit but sadly it was a little too cold at night this time. Spectacular views of the mountains and some epic sunsets made it feel like a truly magical place.
Coup de cœur! I more than adore sitting for Charles and Linda They are exceptional hosts! Charming house, calming place, adorable, cute and endearing animals. Charles and Linda are super welcoming. I would come back anytime to keep their animals. Even if they was a big family to sit (1 dog and 2 cats/ 7 kittens), charles and Linda were so well prepared, that it was only fun. I was in love with their big sweet god Jack. I miss him. I recommend this place to everyone. if I am free, I would definitely come back anytime!
I absolutely loved sitting for Bugsy!!! He is just the cutest and sweetest cat! Bugsy is very independent and likes to do his own thing but also likes to play and be affectionate in his own way. He is adorable! I had so much fun with him, and also enjoyed being in Francey’s home! Francey has a beautiful home in a wonderful location in Sedona. It is so comfortable and warm! She is also a delightful, kind, and considerate person, so it was a pleasure communicating with her. I’d sit for Bugsy again any time!!
The most gorgeous dogs you could ever look after. I've never been a massive fan of dachshunds but these guys are lovely, they are a dream to walk and are happy to go with the flow. I live locally to Sue and Kevin and the dogs happily accompany me on errands (even if it takes a bit longer as everyone wants to stop and say hello to them!) The house is always left pristine when I arrive and Sue is great to communicate with. Here's to many more sits!
