Carrie is an amazing pet mom to two terrific kitties! She left detailed instructions on how to care for them with all the relevant information. She was very communicative and organized which allowed me to focus on the care of the cats. Beautiful home, great location and such lovely kitties Charlie and Molly!
It was lovely to sit for Kate & Nick, and look after the sweet Chas & Bella! Kate & Nick have beautiful, character home with lots of quirky touches, that made for a truly unique stay! They were both so kind & welcoming, and even took us for dinner the night we arrived. Chas & Bella made for lovely company and are both very sweet, gentle, easy to care for kitties. Bella is especially bold and friendly, and always had time for a belly rub! Chas is a little more shy, but very affectionate, with the quietest of 'meows'! Chas also takes his daily tablet with food, with no trouble at all. We truly enjoyed our sit, and would return again anytime! Highly recommend.
Brittany’s home was lovely. She communicated promptly with me if I had any questions about the house or taking care of the kitties. The cats are adorable and very sweet. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Overall a great stay☀️
Sitting for Michael and Amy was a wonderful experience. They are kind, generous hosts who welcomed me into their home and made me feel comfortable and well prepared for my time at the farm. I arrived a day early to get settled in and learn the routines. I had dinner with them Friday evening, and it was so nice to learn the history of the farm and also for us to get to know one another. During my stay I stayed in their beautifully restored house, The Palmyra Inn, located a half mile across the fields from the farmstead. It was a step back in time to a quiet, slower pace of life but with all the modern amenities for today's living. The high-speed internet connection allowed me to work while caring for the farm. I took care of the "yard" animals... Trixie and Cotton, the two Pyrenees farm guardians; three Beagles, Peanut, Coco, and Cinnamon; Q-Tip the barn cat; several chickens and three guinea fowl. Ben, a family friend, handled the livestock. He helped wrangle a couple of hens that escaped. Feeding and watering twice a day was easy, and everything was well organized. There were fresh eggs each day, and I had the most delicious omelets! They also grow blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, which is a you-pick patch in season. I'm looking forward to a trip to the berry patch with my family! The town of Wakefield is small but it's just a ferry ride away to Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown. The Virginia Diner is the local eatery and it is well worth experiencing. They were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I really enjoyed my time and made new, life-long friends. I highly recommend this sit and look forward to an opportunity to sit again in the future. Drewry Farm is truly a very special place! Thank you Michael and Amy!
My first visit to San Francisco was great! Mango was a pleasure to look after and would sleep with me every night. The place was easy to care for. Restaurants, bars, coffeehouses, etc were close by and great for those days when I didn't want to cook. I never met Dorothy in person, but she left clear instructions and was always a text away if I had a question. Overall, it was a great experience. Looking forward to it again!
Staying with Sputnik was a wonderful experience; we're delighted to have had the opportunity to spend time with him. He's an amazing cat—sweet, playful, and a lot of fun. He would follow us into every room, often asking to play or be cuddled. In the mornings, he would come to our bed and purr, truly endearing. We grew fond of him right away; he's incredibly lovable. Sigita and Dan were very helpful and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly, both when we communicated daily during the stay and when we organized the trip. The welcome guide was perfect, providing all the necessary information. We felt very comfortable in their home; it's beautiful and really cozy. You will easily be distracted by the beautiful photos hanging on the walls. The location is also ideal, with the neighborhood being very quiet and it was wonderful to be near Villa Borghese. We really hope to have the chance to come back in the future. Thank you again Dan and Sigita! 😻
