Housesitting for Sherry was such a breeze with cute and easy kitties! Tiger and Tiger Balm are highly active, playful, and affectionate kitties. They really started showing their clever personalities in the last five days we were there. They are super smart and sometimes fearless, lol. We will surely miss them! Sherry gave clear guidance and also provided nice accommodations in a safe and quiet neighborhood, garage parking, and use of state park and beach permit for free parking in the region! We really enjoyed Monterey, Capitola, Santa Cruz, and even a day trip to San Francisco! If you ever get the opportunity to sit here, you won’t want to pass it up, as it was surely a blessing!
What an amazing experience! It was such a pleasure to stay at Tara and Bruce’s home and spend time with Parker and Charlie. They are both such loving and easy going dogs. Parker especially loved human connection and was very loyal to stay by my side wherever I went. Both dogs loved going on walks and are well trained to make it easy to take them together. The dogs were very friendly meeting other dogs and people, and it was fun to share in their positive energy with others that encountered them. It was awesome that only a short distance away was a beautiful forested area where the dogs could roam off leash, and always listened to come back. Tara and Bruce’s home is absolutely beautiful, and such an enjoyable space to spend time. They were very welcoming to make me feel at home, and provided a comfortable space to stay in. The neighbourhood is also gorgeous with beautiful nature all around with several parks and forest paths to venture on nearby. Very grateful for the time and would happily look after Parker and Charlie again.
Stephanie is a personable and detail person. We met at a local venue, where she reviewed and provided two pages of helpful information pre-sit. Foggy is clever, playful and entertaining. I nicknamed him, ‘The Magician’. He could open levered, and sliding closet doors, and scoot behind window blinds. He’s downright right amazing! He walks on outdoor railings with the grace of a trapeze artist. He seems to have the hunter instinct when playing with interactive toys, or if you watch him prowl on the private rooftop terrace and container garden. He was independent and communicated his needs for food, or to be let out. He purrs loudly when petted, playing with his favourite ‘mouse’ toy, or while rubbing and walking between my feet. Stephanie and I communicated daily. She lives in a modern “row house” style townhome, that has a roof-top terrace and container garden. Her place is just steps away from vibrant Commercial Drive. Hourly bike rental stands are on nearby streets. I enjoyed eating brunch at YOLKS, pizza at Famosa, and gelato at La Casa Gelato. A quick jaunt into the city Center was only minutes away. We really enjoyed looking after Zac and Queenie. Both dogs are very well-behaved and friendly. Their routines are very easy to follow and the house is so set up that everything you need to care for them is always at hand. Angela and Russell have such a beautiful home. It is comfortable and well-equipped. The village has great amenities and walking the dogs across the vineyards offers some fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. We’d also like to say a very special thank you to Angela and Russell who went to great lengths to help us get back to the UK amid all the COVID-19 travel disruption. We thoroughly recommend sitting for them!
