I have just completed a three and a half week sit for Lesley and her husband, caring for their property and beautiful feline, Missy. Having had considerable email contact with Lesley prior to the sit, I felt that we were already friends when we met, and Lesley and James made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Lesley was very well organised, so I knew exactly what was required in their absence. Their beautiful home surrounded by gorgeous gardens in full Spring bloom was a delight to care for - as was the elderly fluffy princess, Missy, who made few demands and was cuddly company. The sprinkler setup for the gardens and trees made it very easy to water the gardens; and because Missy slept so much, there were lots of opportunities to explore the surrounding area. Thank you, Lesley and James, for the huge privilege of entrusting me with the care of your home and Missy - it was an absolute pleasure!
We had a wonderful weekend at Karen & Peter's caring for their two adorable dogs. Kona is a mellow, snuggly guy who loves to be with people. Guinness is full of energy and often had us laughing with his antics : ) Peter met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the house. He answered all of our questions over a cup of tea before heading off for the weekend. Very kind and easy going! Karen and Peter provided detailed information in their welcome guide that made our stay easy and enjoyable. Their home is located in a peaceful, forested area with access to walking paths at the end of the street. A perfect weekend away with two wonderful poodles! Thanks Karen and Peter for sharing your pups and your lovely home!
Samy & Pepper were so much fun! They are great dogs and they bonded with us immediately. We had so many wonderful walks on the beach playing with their friends and taking a swim in the ocean. When we were back at the house, they were relaxed and easy to care for, always enjoying some love. Nina and Jeremy were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed before leaving, and they had regular contact with us as needed. The community is a hubbub of activity, full of surfers and wonderful restaurants. We didn't have a meal that wasn't great. We highly recommend this sit and hope to come back again ourselves. Thanks for everything, Nine and Jeremy! - Jack and Pat Fuhrmann
This was a great sit! Max, Macey, Dempsey and Mufiwi were very welcoming and a pleasure to hang out with. I miss Max already. Nice neighborhood for walking, clean nice house and clear instructions from Jamie. Jamie made us feel at welcome in her home. Would definitely recommend.
I recently had the pleasure of housesitting for Dawn in the charming village of Farmoor, near Oxford. From the moment I arrived, Dawn's warmth and hospitality shone through. She welcomed me with open arms and even surprised me with a delicious home-cooked dinner on my first night – a lovely touch I wasn't expecting! The house itself is a dream – spacious, comfortable, and with a truly homely feel. Any housesitter would be lucky to call it their temporary home. But the real star of the show was Sally, Dawn's adorable (and special!) doggie. Looking after Sally was a joy, and the detailed instructions Dawn provided made everything smooth sailing. It was also a delight to witness the return of the wood pigeons and two resident ducks – a true sign of summer! Overall, my experience housesitting for Dawn was exceptional. Her communication was clear, her instructions thorough, and her home a haven. I highly recommend Dawn and her furry (and feathered!) companions to any potential house sitters.
We took this hosting opportunity last minute, and we’re able to take care of Ralph and Libby. They are easy to take care of, and the hosts have clearly written directions. The home is in a beautiful, secluded area with steep hills. It’s wonderful for hiking with Libby and we enjoyed the sunrises/sunsets! Great wifi and we enjoyed the movie room. We drove our VW Jetta, and unfortunately damaged 3 out of 4 tires attempting to get up the hill. We ended up parking about 20 minute walk from the house and enjoyed the exercise if we needed to get to town. If you have an SUV with great off road tires, this is a great spot for you!
