I had the most lovely time sitting for Monica in Castiglione Chiaverese! Monica was warm and welcoming from the beginning, and communication was easy. There is a regular bus from Sestri Levante to the village that Monica made sure I knew how to use, and it was easy to take the bus then train and go visit the Cinque Terre over several mornings. The village is quiet and full of friendly people, and the apartment is cozy and has everything you need for a nice stay. Rio, Grimm, and Stellina will steal your hearts, and they are very social cats and kept me wonderful company! I had great internet for my work and the views from the apartment are breathtaking. I will say that you should be able to manage tricky stairs to get to and from the apartment, so just keep that in mind. I highly recommend this sit and very much hope to come back to see the kitties and Monica again!
I had a wonderful stay at Rene's place. The pets were fun and easy to care for. I enjoyed walks with Lucky as the area where they live has lovely walking paths. I would sit again - definitely.
Had the most wonderful stay with Mr Biggy. Kat and Chris are such great hosts; easy to communicate with, relaxed and very accomodating (they were kind enough to work around my WFH hours). Biggy is a delight! We had the best time, he is well behaved and loves a cuddle. House was spotless, had everything I needed and the neighbourhood was lovely. In summary a 10/10 house sit! Niamh is absolutely amazing! Our dog had been going to Muddy Paws for 3 years and adores it there. They are always well looked after with a large area to run around and play. Can't recommend highly enough and so important to the area as all our dogs are well cared for while we're at work.
Niamh is fabulous at what she does. Muddy Paws has a large outside space for the dogs to run around and play but also has a smaller inside space for some who need a little downtime. Niamh is so knowledgeable and can always offer advice if needed. My Bernese Mountain dog loves his doggy friends and his Niamh!

Our golden retriever stayed at the old mill for 10 days in July (2024). John was absolutely fantastic and Bolt had such a great time. The whole set up is so professional and John gave me some great tips on feeding Bolt. We didn't worry about Bolt at all while we were away. Bolt made lots of friends and was reluctant to come home. Will definitely be using the Old Mill for every holiday.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
John is a wonderful person who takes good care of the dogs he cares for. My 6 month old collie puppy was very anxious about interaction with other dogs, and we were worried for him too. His first experience with another kennel wasn’t great. John really made him feel so comfortable, that there can be times now that my up may rather wants to stay back than come back home with me 🙄😅My pup looks forward to being back at the kennel. It is like a home away from home for my baby collie who is now 8 months plus.
Selkie stayed for three days. She was happy and calm at the kennels, and when I picked her up, she was her usual bubbly self. The Kennels' setup is professional and spotless, and all communication with John was clear and helpful. I recommend Old Mills Kennels and will happily trust them to take care of my girl again.

A colleague recommended the Old Mill kennels and we were so impressed by the professionalism, care, attention to detail, interest and enthusiasm of John that we will return as repeat customers. We got lots of video and photo updates which we wanted during our 10 days away. We were completely able to relax without worrying about our girls and happy in the knowledge they were being well looked after. Our two golden retrievers were really well taken care of , fed Ou, watered, walked and had great fuon their own and mixing with other dogs. The kennels are secure , spotlessly clean and set in the heart of the country. I would highly recommend. Price wise , great value for money. ❤️

Lovely kennel, that I have since recommended to friends and family. Our dog Bonnie, boarded for 5 nights with John at Old Mill Kennels and she was so happy and content there. John sent us daily WhatsApp pictures and messages to keep us updated too, which was an added bonus. This will definitely be our go to kennel in the future.

We left our senior girl with Allie for 11 days recently. It was Chorizo's first stay in kennels since 2018, so we took her to meet Allie some weeks before our holiday. I could see immediately that there would be absolutely no problems. Our girl is a bit on the anxious side, but Allie's many years' experience working with rescues has given her a fantastic way with nervous dogs, and she immediately formed a bond with Chorizo. We had a lovely holiday, knowing that Chorizo was having the time of her life, with the photos to prove it! She made so many friends amongst the other residents, something we wouldn't have thought likely, and she was so well cared-for and exercised. I can't recommend this beautiful kennels highly enough, and most particularly Allie herself. What a heavenly place! ☀️

My Donal had an absolute ball at Allies. This boarding kennels is dog heaven. Allie is the consummate professional and her kennels were designed solely with the dogs safety and comfort in mind. We really appreciated the beautiful and rather hilarious photos we received of Donal bounding around the paddocks with all his new friends. This gave us such peace of mind to know that his holiday was just as enjoyable as ours. So glad to have found this lovely kennels and Donal cannot wait to visit again.
I have two energetic Springer Spaniels who have stayed with Allie when I've been away on business trips. It's a relief to know that they will be well looked after, get plenty of exercise and have the chance to socialise with other dogs. I can tell from their reactions when I arrive at Allie's that they're happy to be there and that they're really fond of her. It really is like a home from home for Joey and Susie. Highly recommended.
I don't know who loves Allie's Kennels more - us or our dogs! When we drop them off they charge inside with barely a backward glance, and when we collect them they are grinning and happy. We've used many kennels over the years, in four countries, and Allie's is the best by a long shot because every aspect of a dog's well-being has been taken into account. The kennels themselves are purpose-built and fantastic - spacious, light, extremely well-designed and absolutely spotless. The outside areas are a dream, with plenty of space for running around and socialising with other guests, yet fully enclosed. Allie takes the dogs for long rambles and as we all know, a well-exercised dog is a happy dog.
