This was an all around lovely sit. Laure’s home is immaculate with a hilltop location and amazing city views but, it’s Zazie who made my stay extra special. She is a very smart, fun and playful pup. She is super friendly with total strangers and always happy to get some belly rub. She knows her neighborhood and will tell you which park she would like to go to play. She is happy to go for long walks and accompany you just about anywhere. She is very easy to take care of. Laure is a wonderful host, very kind, friendly and a great communicator. She provided a great welcome guide about Zazie and the house. Thank you Laure for trusting me . Looking forward to spending more time with Zazie !
Where to start?! Marjory and Neil are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, not to mention fantastic hosts. Short version: delightful feline family, impeccable and comfortable home, lovely garden, walkable town with easy access to bus/train, a wonderful housesit! A few more details … Freya, Finn, and Fearn were easy-care, lovely companions. So sweet. Zero issues ‘tall. They let you know when they were hungry or want to go to their outdoor “catio,” and when they are ready to come inside. These fur babes are obviously loved, and their calm, loving demeanors reflect that. The home and garden invite the indoors in with huge windows/doors and an attached deck overlooking a delightful garden. Rain or shine, you can enjoy the view and lots of light. Easy to live in, easy to clean, easy to love. And superb bedding, by the way. Just sayin’. Surrounds are easy-peasy to access. An easy 10-minute walk gets you well into Kirkintilloch for groceries or a meal or to start a lovely ramble on a canal tow path; 20 minutes the other direction takes you to the Lenzie train station for a quick run to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Bring a hat or rain jacket as the weather changes constantly (or it did for me, and apparently that’s normal). As a solo female, I felt very safe both in home and walking about. Zero worries. Finally, Marjory and Neil. Wow! Just wow. They are fun, generous, loving folks. They made sure I was comfy, provided resources for finding my way, and shared freely of themselves and their home. I so very much enjoyed meeting them and enjoying their hospitality. This is an A+ sit, especially for cat-loving walkers who can handle stairs. That’s the only caveat I can think of for potential sitters… if you can’t handle stairs, this may not be the sit for you as bedrooms are upstairs, and there are short steps to the catio and part of the living area. Other than that, no reservations ‘tall about enthusiastically recommending Neil, Marjory, Finn, Freya, and Fearn. Thank you, Marjory and Neil. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a most lovely visit. We did the fabulous housesit in Eden with our family of four. We experienced a wonderful month with Polo and Nina, two lovely dogs. They are very obedient and give lots of love and joy. Polo is an exceptional runner and jumper. It is amazing to watch him. His mum Nina is a very sweet and calmer dog. She loves the chickens and watches the chicks so that non of them gets lost, it was so sweet. Nina and Polo love each other a lot, it is so beautiful to see how they care for each other. And the Place!! It is PARADISE!! The park like garden has its own beach access. We did long walks along the beach and creek and lake directly from the house every day with landscapes of a postcard. We enjoyed fishing everyday too in company of Nina and Polo and dolphins and seals just some meters in front of us. It’s better, than you could imagine. Tony and Kari were wonderful hosts. They invited us to dinner when we arrived and did everything to give us the maximum comfort for the sit. They even made contact for us with family and friends so that we had very warm encounters. The Family are very special and generous people it was a great pleasure to meet them. We are very grateful for the amazing time in Eden, it was one of the best in our lifes, for sure. Thank you very much Tony and Kari and a big hug to Nina and Polo, we miss them a lot.
Cindy is a very warm and inviting host. Her home is very comfortable and cozy. It sits out in the beautiful country with neighbours close by. It was such a delight to stay in! Especially with all the beautiful Christmas decorations! Caring for her beautiful cats was a pleasure. Sakura and Harley are very sweet, friendly and love to play and cuddle. I had so much fun taking care of them. Thanks so much Cindy for having me stay in your beautiful house and keep your kitties company while you were away. I would highly recommend this sit!
It was a pleasure to sit for little Chalupa, she is such a sweetheart! Ron & Dan were very easy to communicate with and the apartment was also really comfy, centrally located, and in a private community.
Suzanne was accommodating and even offered to have me stay another night when a storm occurred on my departure date. Her mighty farm is fantastic, and I still miss her crew of animals. Her neighbor, Wendy, was accessible and helpful. We became fast friends and took lovely walks in the nearby marsh and other walking trails. Suzanne's house is the perfect cozy size for clean-up and within walking distance to everything your heart could desire. I highly recommend sitting for her.
