Jacobi was an amazing host, always communicative and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Saint, his adorable dog, was an absolute joy to care for. She loves her walks and will melt for belly rubs! If you take her to the walkable pet store for some treats, she’ll love you forever. Jacobi’s apartment was perfect! It was impeccably clean, and we absolutely adored his stylish decor. The central location in Downtown Portland made our stay even better. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to visit again soon. Highly recommend Jacobi and Saint to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!
What a retreat!!! We stayed in Hank's house in company of Ellie & Dax for 3 months and it was the most amazing experience. The house is very clean and has a perfect location next to the Light Rail station and just steps away from Columbia City center where you have everything you need: grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants and bars, theater etc.. Bonus points of the location was also the walkable distance to Lake Washington Boulevard and Steward Park. Hank made sure we had everything we needed before he left. He is super generous and even though there is a nice guest bedroom (with bathroom) available, he cleared out all his belongings from the master bedroom and offered us to stay there just because it is a little bit more spacious. He was always available to communicate through phone. He even shipped us California oranges all the way from Palm Springs. Ellie and Dax are the sweetest cats. Dax is more open and loves to stay/sleep around you all the time. Ellie is more shy, but once she is comfortable she is very affectionate and loves playing fetch. It was very hard when we left. We would 1000% love to go back and take care of them again.
Alex and her family were great hosts. Gave clear instructions, good communicators, and made things simple/easy to follow. Their house is in a beautiful area and very comfortable. Boss is a sweetie. He listens well and lives as many scratches as he can get! During my sit he had a hurt leg, so I gave him extra attention since he couldn’t be walked. His favorite place is the kitchen, supervising anything that may fall while cooking. He’s a great companion and just want to be near you chillin. Thank you for the opportunity, would definitely sit here again!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent housesitting for Tamara and taking care of Chloe. This house was perfectly accommodating and relaxing, so much in fact that my plans to explore the area were spent on the porch with Chloe and the dock. If my schedule aligns I would definitely apply for future sits.
I had a fantastic time looking after Bowie in Newquay! He's a beautiful dog with a mischievous flair, and we bonded very quickly. I took him all over town, and we had lots of fun on his favourite beaches. As for Jess and Jim, they were very easy-going and made sure I was happy and comfortable with everything before jetting off on holiday - and their place is lovely! I'd definitely go back :)
Tanya and Xavier are exceptional people. We met them a few weeks before the start of the sitting during a beautiful day when they showed us the house and prepared an incredible lunch for us, like a five-star Michelin restaurant. Then we came to stay at Villa Candia for the sitting for about three weeks in May 2023. What can I say? We obviously fell in love with the pets, and we miss them a lot. Luna and Yolo are two exceptional kittens, very affectionate, they always used to walk with us in the evenings. Sassy gets attached a lot and always wants to be cuddled and be in company. Romeo is an exceptional dog, super intelligent and obedient, one of the best we have ever met. The villa is a gem, probably the best residence we have lived in so far. It's about a 25-minute drive from Perugia, 20 minutes from Assisi and Gubbio, and 40 minutes from Lake Trasimeno. It allowed us to explore Umbria thoroughly, take beautiful walks with the pets, relax by the pool, and have a wonderful three weeks. We hope to meet Tanya and Xavier and their extraordinary pets again very soon.
