We spent Christmas looking after little Bobby and Teddy and we couldn't have picked a better sit for the festive season! Emelien and Laurie left the house all decorated for us which was much appreciated and I was able to hang my Christmas wreath on their front door! Bobby and Teddy are adorable and very easy to care for, and we had some wonderful walks with them straight from the house. Compton Bassett is a very friendly village and has a super pub, what more can a house sitter ask for!
We had a fabulous ten days with Kika and Toffee in Brighton! They are very easy to look after and kept us company while we worked. They are pretty relaxed and love evenings on your lap watching tv. We also enjoyed our walks with them on the beach and the local park that are 5 minutes away from the house! The house is comfortable and located in the centre of Brigthon but because it is situated in a cul de sac, we were able to relax and had a good night. We stayed on the top floor with an en suite bathroom and kitchenette. We met Gil and Geoff prior to our sitting for an informal chat, they were very kind and friendly. We have the chance to introduce Kika and Toffee to our little dog Leonardo too. Communication was very good and in their return, they treated us with a delicious box of chocolates that we really enjoyed!We will be delighted to look after Kika and Toffee again!
This sit was arranged at short notice and Alex called me four days before our meeting to explain everything about the two dogs. Since I grew up in the neighboring village, I didn't need a welcome guide and felt very welcome and safe after this friendly conversation. Our meeting shortly afterwards was very warm and I immediately fell in love with these two sweet dogs, Izzy and Newton. I was shown around the entire house, which has four levels. Alex's husband Alain explained to me the heating in the basement and the handling of the E-Bike. There is a separate apartment with a bathroom in the basement and I could choose to sleep there or on the first floor. The dogs have their beds on each floor and prefer to sleep next to you at night. They are very quiet at night. They follow you during the day everywhere and are very affectionate and calm. Both are already 12 years old and are brother and sister. They can be left alone for up to 4 hours, but prefer your company. The house is a dream and borders directly on meadows and forests. But the dogs are too old to go for walks. That's why they are only allowed into the garden under supervision. It is a great pleasure to use the E-Bike to go into the city, to the Rhine, the border triangle with France and Germany. Bus stop nearby. I really appreciated being with the dogs and highly recommend this sit. Thank you very much, Alex and Alain!
I had a wonderful time taking g care of Luna and Hendrix while Fiona & Andy were away. Communication was excellent with Fiona, instructions for kitty care was well laid out, and the cats were an absolute dream. Luna was a bit shy around me for most of the sit but Hendrix came out of his shell after the first day and we had lots of play & brushing time together. Fiona & Andy’s home is stylish and comfortable and the area is stunning. Would absolutely sit again for the . Highly recommend!!
Yann, Vicky and Lucy welcomed us in their place and were very friendly and easygoing. They provided us with comprehensive information for the sit and readily answered any questions we had. During the sit they were quick to communicate with us via WhatsApp when we needed it. Their house was lovely and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The location was an easy walk to the village centre, harbour and the beach of Stonehaven. Longer walks will get you to the forest and Dunnottar Castle. With a car, there are a lot of attractions within an hour’s drive in any direction. The icing on the cake was the dog Stan and the cat Désolé. They are gorgeous characters that love each other. Both are easy to look after and will pay you back with friendship. Stan loved our trips and he was very relaxed in the car. At home he liked to play with his toys or chase a ball in the garden. Désolé was the opposite and just liked to sit on your lap and be patted. He will wait for Stan to come back from his walk on the front lawn or even a few houses down the road and then walk back home with the whole pack. Stan and Désolé preferred to sleep in the same room as us, which we didn’t mind. Both of them have their own beds (an armchair for the cat) and sleep there quietly through the night. We would sincerely recommend this house sit to anyone and thank Yann and Vicky for the wonderful opportunity.
We had a wonderful time in Torquay, the house was lovely, well equipped and spacious, the view was top class, Torquay and its surroundings are spectacular. Chester is a very friendly and playful cat, he is easy to look after and welcomed us warmly. Thanks for having us
