Whilst we only completed a short housesit caring for Lucy and Bodie, they were very easy to love and look after! Whilst the dogs have run of the house (expect them to cuddle up to you on the couch!) they are both gentle in nature. The location is a short drive from the picturesque Port Townsend which offers many gorgeous boutiques and cafes. For their first THS sit (and one with short notice) Crissy and Erik were gracious hosts and responded to any messages promptly.
Miv and Dick were incredibly warm hosts, having me come the evening before their departure so I could be thoroughly prepared with all my questions answered and care routines walked through together. Miv even made a vegan dinner. The home and grounds are fairytale beautiful and meant to be enjoyed. The views and surrounding area are truly breathtaking. Storm was a wonderful companion...happy, kind, enthusiastic and wanting to please. He's well taught with voice and whistle commands and we walked the fields and lanes both on and off leash. This breed is now topping my wish list! Wilton is independent, but was more affectionate than expected from a Bengal, which was a treat. He is gorgeous and it's fun to see him and Storm interact. The chickens were easy and good fun. All in all, it was a spectacular stay. Easy to jaunt to town, to Exeter or further into Devon, and I also found myself quite happy close to "home."
Mariona and I just have good things to say about Christine. She made us feel confortable and welcome in her home as our own from the first moment and helped us adapt and get to know Knustford before leaving. We enjoyed our experience in Knutsford immensely. It was a beautiful town with great fields, people and a very good train line that helped us moving around easily. Which allowed us visiting other near places as Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, etc. About the doggies... Billy and Martha were the best. They were the perfect dogs and we definetly recomend taking care of them. That way, you will also enjoy the wallows in the grass, the squirrel chases and the welcoming when you arrive home. Mariona and I really really enjoyed the experience and we're enormously thankful for the opportunity Christine gave us. 100% recomend.
