I really enjoyed my experience at Anne’s with her delightful fur pals! Kitty, the cat, is one of my favorite cats I’ve met and cared for. He’s a purr machine, loves to be pet, and has no qualms coming up and laying right next to the dogs in their space. Mouse n’ Bean are fun little pups with very distinct personalities and easy to care for. They like their play time and attention and chill out for long naps and bed time as well. Both of them spent some good times on my lap, while the other looked on with some jealousy. :) I enjoyed getting to know Anne our first night before she left, and communication was easy throughout the sit. The house is spacious and comfortable with one of the best views of Silver City and seeing the sunrise, plus it’s convenient to downtown. I will note the comfortable bed in the guest room, as I’ve been to other sits with terrible beds. It’s also a 10 minute walk to a Boston Hill trailhead, which was a huge plus for me for morning hikes. I’d definitely recommend this sit.
We had the best time caring for Chuck & Shelley's home and pets! They took the time to show us how everything works around the house and the pets' routine and habits. They also left written instructions which was useful and communication was very easy. The 3 dogs are well-behaved, and we enjoyed taking them on walks and playing with them. Khaleesi is the leader of the crew and loves getting all the attention; Atlas is an energetic sweetheart, and Tank is a little ball of love. The 2 cats, Ike and Uthred, were also a pleasure to care for, they love being pet! We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Chuck & Shelley!
I had an absolutely wonderful time during this housesit. From the moment I spoke to Ankie and Eric on our initial call I knew it was going to be a lovely stay. Communication was really excellent and they prepared incredibly kindly and thoughtfully for my stay in their gorgeous home! The star of the show is definitely Munchkin - an utterly trusting sweet creature with a great sense of humour! He is wonderful cuddly company. In addition, the area is lovely, with long treelined avenues and within easy reach of bigger cities as well. I loved every minute and can definitely recommend this housesit, thank you so much for a wonderful time!
What a wonderful sit! Jess and Jim were brilliant hosts who took the time to ensure we were confident with the house and Bowie's care before they went away. Bowie is the absolute best and we fell in love with him. The house is lovely and we felt right at home. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location in town, with shops and beaches within a short walking distance. Thanks Jess and Jim for having us, we would be more than happy to take care of Bowie again!
Olly and Snuggz were great pets to take care of. Both are total love bugs. Olly does great on a leash, never reacts to other dogs and is great around kids. Snuggz lives up to his name and gives great snuggles on the couch. I would love to sit for them again! Emily and Zephyr left good instructions for pet care. The house is cute and comfortable, right across the street from a great park. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking a meal. The neighborhood is super walkable with lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores nearby.
Penny and Chris made this sit easy and Cooper, Alice, and the goats were so low-maintenance. Cooper was a great hiking buddy and very well trained, and Alice was quite mellow and enjoyed laying next to me on the couch in the evenings. The goats were a little skittish, though their care was straightforward. Penny and Chris walked me through how to care for the animals before they left and provided me with detailed written instructions that I could refer back to. They also provided several recommendations of places to check out in the area. Overall, this was a great sit!
